13-race maiden who has only beaten three rivals home in five starts this year. First-time visor needs to spark massive improvement.

Back on last winning mark and got to set a slow pace from the front when third to Blyton Lass. Did pay late for racing too keenly and can be competitive again, however a bit of work to do to reverse the form with the front pair.

Beaten out of sight at Kempton following a break of 610 days and held again over further at this track. Drop back in trip will help but plenty to find at present.

Much better on first try at this trip at Lingfield when getting stuck out wide before staying on well. If the blinkers work again he looks a leading contender.

Followed back-to-back wins with a disappointing effort but bounced back with an eye-catching fourth at Beverley. Raced on a fast pace that ultimately suited the hold-up performers and looks to have more to offer.

Finally broke through at Lingfield and that standard of form would put him right in this. However has been disappointing in three runs since and stamina to prove over this significant step up in distance.

Nine-race maiden who showed promise when second at Brighton but has gone backwards in four starts since. Yet to show she stays this far and others preferred.

Looked in need of further when a luckless second over this C&D to Blyton Lass so disappointing he didn't fare better at Wolverhampton. Could be involved if returning to previous form.

Broke her maiden tag on start number 10 when suited by racing on a slow tempo. Has more to offer but may struggle to confirm placings with Demophon.

Maiden after 12 starts and while she showed more at Lingfield was subsequently disappointing over further at Kempton. Looks a bit one-paced and others look stronger candidates.

Only one place in 13 starts for two previous trainers and now makes new stable debut. Would prefer a much stiffer test of stamina and others look more convincing over this trip.

16-race maiden under both codes and has raced over this C&D on his last four runs. Had shown a bit more in two of those but was never a factor last time. Plenty to find.

Sole victory came on heavy ground in a 6f contest on debut for William Muir. Well beaten in all five starts for current stable and hard to enthuse about from out of the handicap.

Blyton Lass (11/4), Ross Raith Rover (7/2), Arrowzone (6/1), Demophon (6/1), Whatwouldyouknow (7/1), Haroon (9/1), Clearance (11/1), Sukhovey (20/1), One Liner (20/1), Three C's (25/1), Gift From God (25/1), Stay In The Light (33/1), Maria's Choice (66/1), Greeneyedafghan (100/1)

Verdict

Blyton Lass led home two rivals over this C&D who are in opposition again and while she and the third Arrowzone are respected, Demophon looked the one to take out of the race after being forced wide off a slow tempo and he should be suited by a return to this trip. In contrast Whatwouldyouknow raced on a fast pace that collapsed late on so his last start can also be upgraded. ROSS RAITH ROVER looked well suited by the step up to this distance at Lingfield, hitting the line strongly after being stuck out widest of all and should have more to offer.
