Finished third in the 2016 Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot when with Aidan O'Brien but faded tamely in Group 3 in only run last year, and has disappointed on both runs for new yard this summer.

Winner of a C&D novice in May, and not disgraced on handicap bow at York. Below form since, but chances to get back on track down in class and back on Polytrack.

Has impressed in winning both starts over 7f at Chelmsford this year, and although he didn't have much to beat last time, he appears to have plenty more to offer, and fairly treated now handicapping.

Best efforts this season have come over C&D, and ran well when second to subsequent winner Majboor on penultimate outing. Disappointed at Chelmsford since, but expected to bounce back.

Ran well in two 6f handicaps at Newmarket in the spring before stopping quickly as if something amiss at Epsom, and subsequent absence would concur with that. Mark still one he can compete off but fitness taken on trust.

Can be slowly away, but better in that regard lately and progressing well. Impressive when beating Admiral Rooke at Thirsk last time, and long straight here will play to his strengths.

Leicester winner for Richard Hannon a year ago, and not disgraced after an absence for new yard at Lingfield in July. Not progressed from that, however, and easy enough to oppose in current form.

Won a handicap at Ffos Las in August, and similar form when 3¾L third of 8 to Glenglade at Chelmsford last time. Should remain competitive, but more needed to defy current mark.

Things haven't panned out since he won a handicap at Newmarket last July for Charlie Hills, but not disgraced when 3¾L sixth of 14 to Honey Man over 1m here last time, and may have needed that after a break.

Struggling to get back to winning ways this year, but not unduly punished when 2¼L fifth of 11 to Hackney Road at Doncaster last time, and place claims if building on that.

Standout effort when front-running second over C&D in December, and possible he is flattered by setting steady pace there. Disappointing on handicap debut at Chelmsford last time, but entitled to improve for that run, and may do better back here.

Looked a fair prospect when winning at Wolverhampton last July, but he's failed to match that form in three starts since, and never in the hunt at Newmarket last time.

Forecasts

Bedouin's Story (6/4), Margub (7/2), Jawwaal (11/2), Redgrave (7/1), King of Nepal (14/1), Galloway Hills (14/1), La Maquina (16/1), Envisaging (25/1), Global Humor (25/1), Zalshah (25/1), Pedestal (66/1), Algam (100/1)

Verdict

BEDOUIN'S STORY is progressing all the time, and his style of racing should be suited to this track. he impressed at Thirsk last time, and gets a narrow verdict over Margub, whose wins this season have been more style than substance, but who still looks quite a smart prospect. Redgrave hasn't fired for Joe Tuite, but he's entitled to improve for his latest sixth in a warm contest here, and could go well at fancy odds.
