Arrives bidding for a hat-trick after back-to-back wins at Bath and Brighton. His running style and fast gate speed are obvious positives to his chance here and a 5lb rise looks fair. Not ruled out if he can get over from his wide draw.
Course winner earlier in the campaign and very impressive when winning at Hamilton last time despite over-racing in the early stages of that contest. Drop back in trip could suit and while 8lb higher here, he looks likely to go well again.
C&D winner on his fourth career start and got back to winning ways at Ripon two starts back. Couldn't back that effort up under a penalty last time and others may prove a little better handicapped.
Off the mark in a 6f handicap at Thirsk in May, and better than bare result when third in first-time blinkers at York last time, faring best of those to force the pace. No chance of an easy lead but in good form and has place claims again.
Still a maiden after eight starts. Shaped like he needed the run on yard debut at York last time when a promising fourth and can't be ruled out if he builds on that.
Won back-to-back races earlier in the campaign and largely running well in defeat since. May have wanted faster ground than what is likely here though.
A winner at Wolverhampton on debut but things didn't go to plan in three subsequent starts. Makes his seasonal return here and entitled to need the run on debut for his new yard.
A winner on debut for this yard at Leicester in July and he's run well in defeat twice since. Overall profile not great but he's one of the few horses that won't be contesting the lead and that could play in his favour.
Gained a first win since losing his maiden tag at Ffos Las last time out in a seven runner event. This is more competitive though and there's no guarantee he will repeat that level of form given his profile.
Forecasts
Gabrial The Devil (1/1), Little Boy Blue (11/2), Billy Dylan (6/1), Harrogate (9/1), Hawaam (9/1), Awsaaf (14/1), Qaaraat (16/1), Crystal Deauville (18/1), Brandy Station (33/1)
Richard Fahey won this last year and while the race is more competitive this time around, GABRIAL THE DEVIL looks the most likely winner and he was impressive last time out. Little Boy Blue shouldn't be ruled out despite his wide draw given how fast he can be to break but Qaaraat may prove to be the main danger to the selection and he could benefit from the strong pace that looks likely here.
