Dual winner over this trip at Newcastle in January, and at least as good as ever when ¾L second of 8 to Bomad at Leicester last month. Disappointed here more recently, though, and only his best will suffice now.
Hasn't exactly progressed since Ripon maiden win last August, but mark dropping accordingly. Possible to forgive latest effort when trapped wide, and this is more realistic.
Won a Pontefract novice event over this trip last year and would look well handicapped based on some of his subsequent juvenile form. Yet to hit form this year, however, and hood reached for now.
Still a maiden, but running consistently well, and good neck second of 6 to Starboy in handicap at Brighton last time. Possibly not straightforward, but likely to give a good account.
Found some improvement to land a 6f handicap here a month ago, and has run well when second on last couple of outings from current mark, typically making the running. No reason why she won't run well again.
Enjoying a productive summer, and gained third win of the year when weaving through to land a C&D handicap two weeks ago. 3lb rise looks fair, and she remains of interest.
Best efforts this year have come here, and ran creditably when second to Terri Rules here last time. Claims with a repeat, although winner seemed to have a bit in hand.
Forecasts
Revived (3/1), Spanish Star (3/1), Terri Rules (4/1), Wiff Waff (11/2), Mother of Dragons (8/1), Princess Keira (9/1), Brandy Station (16/1)
SPANISH STAR remains a maiden, but he has raised his game of late, and split higher-rated rivals at Brighton last time. He should be well served by the likely strong pace set by Mother of Dragons, and should have no excuses. Terri Rules had a bit in hand when winning here last time, and can go well again, while Revived may bounce back given this easier assignment.
