Bunglieinthejungle colt looked very green on his racecourse bow in the Brocklesby at Doncaster on the first day of the season. Given time to recover from that but, might again find this challenging.
£30,000 yearling, Footstepsinthesand colt. Dam was a winner up to 7f (5f winner at two-years-old). Betting will provide more clues, one of two for trainer in the field.
Mazameer gelding. Dam of little account and appears one for a watching brief on first start unless market vibes are strong.
19,000 gns two-year-old, Zebedee colt is a half-brother to useful 7f-1m winner Tafaakhor. Yard can have one ready, needs a market check.
17,000 euros Society Rock colt out of dam related to middle distance performers. Yard yet to have a juvenile winner so far this term, finished ninth of 16 in novice event at this course (6f, good to firm) on debut a week ago.
Archipenko filly is a half-sister to three winners, including two-year-old 5f winner Royal Award and 6f winner Red Alert. Makes debut here.
Acquired for small money, half-sister to several winners, including smart 1m-1m1½f winner Jack Junior and two-year-old 5f winner Perfect Paula. Watching brief today.
Promising Kodiac filly, hooded first time and finished second of seven in maiden at Nottingham (5f, good to firm) eight days ago. Should be more to come.
Good effort in fourth on second start in Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Nottingham last time, form working out well, can build on that first turf start and be competitive here.
Daughter of War Command shaped much better than odds of 33/1 suggested she might over 6f here last time, finishing 2½L third of ten, entitled to have her say dropped in trip.
Kodiac filly who cost 75,000 gns as a yearling, held here over 6f on debut, improved on that in AW outing at Kempton when finishing third of 11. Worth a try over this shorter trip and one of two for Richard Hannon in the field.
Cost just £6,000 as a yearling and last of nine in maiden at Goodwood (6f, soft) on debut 17 days ago. Best watched at this stage of her development.
Gregorian filly. Dam unraced. Beat just one of 11 rivals home in minor event at Lingfield (5f, good to firm) on debut nine days ago, having been very slowly away. Must improve.
Forecasts
Implicit (13/8), Nefarious (3/1), Oona (7/2), He'zanarab (8/1), Improvising (12/1), Nananita (25/1), Sophosc (25/1), Jack Louie (33/1), Esque Amore (33/1), Angel Mead (66/1), Sister's Act (66/1), Clevedon (80/1), Starchant (100/1)
IMPROVISING ran well enough at Nottingham last time (fourth) to command plenty respect here and that form looks decent with the third having scored in a conditions race at Beverley since. She can improve and land this for Richard Hughes. Oona looks the more likely of Richard Hannon's pair while Implicit was second at Nottingham on debut and merits respect. Nananita is another that can be given a chance.
- Improvising
- Oona
- Implicit
