Very green when well held in a Wincanton bumper on her first experience of racing. Would need to step up massively on that run to take a hand here and that appears unlikely.

Poor form in bumpers on three starts when with Phil Kirby. Now starts out with a new yard but hard to build a case for her in this.

Improved on all her starts winning on the third one on the AW at Wolverhampton over this trip. Drew well clear on that occasion with the runner-up before being handed a tough test on turf last time in Listed company; this is far easier.

Quite stoutly bred and on both her starts she's looked as though she could do with a stiffer test and more experience. Staying handicaps look her destination after this with gaining a mark the object of the exercise here.

Ava The Bravert15

Showed a little more on her second run but it was hardly a big step forward from her debut where she looked as though this trip and more would be needed.

Her pedigree makes some appeal and her debut over 1m2f offered something to work on although she did look to need the experience. Not knocked about though and will improve for this especially over this longer trip.

Now hooded for her third run having been highly tried last time out in Listed company. She's far better judged on her debut in a Newmarket maiden for this where she showed a fair amount of ability despite finishing in midfield.

Plenty of stamina in her pedigree and her first two starts have shown that she is going to need a test and possibly further than she goes today. Looked to be going nowhere last time until finishing off well at Newmarket and a leading contender.

Green and didn't offer that much on her debut over a mile at Doncaster last backend. Her pedigree is decent enough though and she looks the sort to do better in time.

Did best of the debutantes on her initial run at Sandown over 1m2f and boasts a decent pedigree and one that says she'll do better over this trip. Ran just as well on her second start again leaving the impression that there is more to come.

Makes her turf debut having had just the one start on the AW over 1m2f looking as though the experience was needed (considerately handled). Should do better in time and likely to be a steadily improving type.

Forecasts

Queen Of Connaught (2/1), Tolkyn (9/4), Outlane (3/1), Galmarley (8/1), Here's Alice (10/1), Roystonia (25/1), Tomorrow's Angel (25/1), Arabian Fairytale (66/1), Ava The Braver (66/1), Gracie Stansfield (100/1), Fifty Bales Of Hay (200/1)

Verdict

An Oaks Trial on just her fourth start was always likely to prove a bridge too far for QUEEN OF CONNAUGHT and the drop back to this level with that experience behind her should make her hard to beat although she does face some potential improvers. They would be headed by Tolkyn and Outlane both of whom have shown promise so far and will be suited by this sort of stamina test. Here’s Alice has also caught the eye and looks to be another that will come on for even more experience with Tomorrow’s Angel and Galmarley two others worth watching.
  1. Queen Of Connaught
  2. Outlane
  3. Tolkyn
