In much better form towards the backend of last year when taking a couple of sprint handicaps but still looking to have his quirks. Well below form on his last two starts looking a hard ride last time and not one that's easy to recommend.
Tried in blinkers last-time for and now given a go in a first-time visor to see if this consistent sort can be made to find any further progression. Good 4th on the AW last time over 1m and tries again off the same mark; place material again.
Took a 5f AW minor event last year and as handed a fairly stiff opening mark for handicaps (77). That's gradually been reduced and he gave notice last time over 7f that he may well be able to cash-in on this mark soon switched back to turf.
Has quite a smart pedigree and shaped well enough on her handicap debut to suggest that there is more to come. Just pushed up 2lbs for that effort at Leicester she could well win off this mark although a longer trip may see her to better advantage.
Has some fairly solid handicap form to his name and something similar to this may fall his way but he does look vulnerable to less exposed sorts in this sphere. Would need a little help from the handicapper to be of interest.
Has one standout piece of handicap form to his name (second start in this discipline) when taking the runner-up slot at Pontefract (6f, heavy). Yet to encounter quicker conditions on turf and best watched here from outside draw.
Showed improved form to win over C&D on his penultimate start off a 5lb lower mark (got loose beforehand). Able to run off that same mark last time but finished runner-up to an improving type; strong form and a leading contender.
Back to his best when third here on his penultimate start running well in a handicap for the first time. Not quite in the same form on his next start but looked worth a try over further with the Beverley form looking sound for the grade.
Looks the sort that this stable can bring along in handicaps although the opening mark looked a stiff one and so it proved over 6f at Redcar. Now stepped up in trip she may need that mark to ease just a couple of pounds more to be effective.

Christmas Night (7/2), Narodowa (7/2), Knockout Blow (4/1), Trogon (5/1), Moltoir (7/1), Mearing (15/2), Where's Jeff (12/1), Global Exceed (16/1), Moretti (22/1), Shortbackandsides (25/1)
This looks an interesting contest and a few of these could be worth noting for handicaps in the future. Both Moretti and Where’s Jeff would fall into that category maybe in a lesser grade though. Narodowa is nicely drawn after making a positive impression on her handicap debut although a longer trip could well see her in a better light. Christmas Night represents some relatively strong C&D form and Mearing will do well to reverse the previous form with that one but the former of that duo will have to overcome a wide draw here. All of that means that KNOCKOUT BLOW is the one to note here now that his mark is falling and he did shape well enough last time to think he can take this.
- Knockout Blow
- Narodowa
- Christmas Night
