Ran above this mark when scoring over C&D two years ago. Not seen for 18 months and has clearly had issues so hard to know how much ability he retains. Any market confidence might be highly significant.
Supported when taking his first handicap on penultimate start. Appeared as though the drop to this trip off his new mark made things too difficult when last seen.
Does not appear to do too much once hitting the front so every likelihood he has had more in the tank than the handicapper has gauged. Every chance of completing the hat-trick on just his ninth start.
Performs to a consistent level in this grade. A line through Viola Park gives him a chance with Mischief Managed on these terms, but that rival has performed better around here than he has.
Triple C&D winner but yet to score off a mark this high. Attempts to exploit a better rating on turf have not worked.
Refused to settle behind a slow pace on comeback. Not far behind Viola Park and Chetan that day and a line through the former puts him close to Mischief Managed.
Made a winning debut for this yard in a 7f handicap at Southwell in January. Has run well on the AW since and interesting back on this surface under this rider.
Features on a career low mark for return to this this trip. Close fourth to Viola Park here in February and a strict line through that horse gives him an edge over a few of these.
Has really come to hand in recent starts and he took advantage of a good mark to score at Chelmsford in April. New mark seems reasonable enough given a C&D second off 3lb higher in September.
Something of an inconsistent performer who has C&D form. Can be a bit keen so a strong pace helps but others arrive in better shape.
Winner of 13 races during a long career and has picked up a race a year since 2012. Did not get the best of runs here last time, but this is a decent race for the class and others looks stronger.

Mischief Managed (11/4), Weloof (11/2), Showdance Kid (6/1), Essential (13/2), Robben Rainbow (7/1), Red Gunner (10/1), Cryptonite (12/1), Chetan (16/1), Alkashaaf (16/1), Grey Destiny (18/1), Corporal Maddox (25/1), Woodukheleyfit (25/1)
Various form lines using Viola Park as a common yardstick suggest that ROBBEN RAINBOW could be the one to be on here. He chased home that rival over C&D on his last run at his best trip and he offers some value given he looks about 8lb well-in with Mischief Managed, Chetan and Red Gunner who have all crossed swords with that same rival. Showdance Kid had a bit in hand when winning last time and was competitive off a higher weight than this here in September.
- Robben Rainbow
- Mischief Managed
- Red Gunner
