Has been waiting for an opportunity to go handicapping, although his initial mark does seem more than high enough.
AW form raises some question marks and she has not always appeared to give her al in a finish. Given a break following two poor efforts during the winter and down to her most recent competitive mark.
Difficult ride who needs to be delivered as late as possible. Has optimum trip and weight, so just a question of whether the race develops according to plan.
Proving difficult to place at present. Returns to sprinting and on a faster surface this time. Cheekpieces applied but there are too many question marks against him.
Veteran who won three races last year including one over C&D in this grade off 2lb higher. A return to winning ways looked imminent last time and she will be a major player here.
Yard know how to handle this type who has been useful in the past and rated a lot higher than his current mark. Showed a bit more last time wen well-backed and forced to come wider than ideal. Dropped in the weights but not ideally drawn.
Has two ways of running but at his best early last season and again on reappearance. Below his last winning mark but hard to be sure what to expect.
Soundly beaten on turf lately although the blindfold was removed late last time. Nicely handicapped on her last two runs here, but an overall record of 1-24 makes her less appealing.
Winner in Ireland but has achieved little of note since. Continues to drop in the weights and wears a first-time visor for AW debut.
Without a win in almost two years. Realistically handicapped and the jockey booking stimulates some interest, but his overall record of late makes him hard to recommend.
Ran to a fairly consistent level in the latter half of last season when headgear was applied. Will have needed latest run, down to last winning mark and goes well on Tapeta.
His three wins have come off considerably higher ratings and the last was more than two years ago. His good runs are becoming less frequent but nicely weighted if in the mood.
Had been proving costly to follow until gaining a fourth C&D success a month ago. Needs a lot to go right as it did then and new mark makes it even harder for him.
Forecasts
Falcao (9/4), Pushkin Museum (6/1), Semana Santa (7/1), Fairway To Heaven (9/1), Soldier Blue (11/1), Tasaaboq (12/1), Mad Endeavour (12/1), French (12/1), Whitecrest (16/1), Barron's Lad (16/1), Le Manege Enchante (20/1), Legal Mind (20/1), Fantasy Justifier (25/1)
WHITECREST looked ready to strike in the near future when running well at Lingfield and another drop in the weights makes her an attractive proposition in a class where she has a good record. Falcao will arouse plenty of interest following the gamble that went astray last time, but he is again drawn to see plenty of daylight and his rider will do well to find cover. Le Manege Enchante goes well on the surface and is down to his last winning mark.
