Sole turf win was over C&D (good to firm) in 2016 when 7lb lower. Has won on the All Weather since and put in an encouraging effort at Doncaster (7f, soft) last time from 2lb higher. Not ruled out.
Scored here over 7f (good to firm) in August when 4lb lower and beaten just over 1L at Newmarket next time from 2lb higher than today. Should be better for his reappearance here earlier in the month and enters calculations.
0-12 on turf, both wins having been on the All Weather. Held last time at Wolverhampton and looks to be on a stiff enough mark for what he has achieved on turf so far.
Both wins have come on soft ground and although he acts when it is faster, he probably wants it slower than this to help his cause. 3lb higher today when when scoring on turf at Redcar in November (7f). Each-way shout.
Sole win came here over 7f (good to firm) in 2016, on her second start. Has not yet mastered handicapping and a 2lb drop for her 6L C&D defeat last time does not open up an obvious opportunity.
0-6 on turf, having won twice at Wolverhampton at 1m½f/1m1½f. Not disgraced after a break at Brighton (1m, good to soft) last time. 3lb lower today and headgear now being utilised. Not written off.
Won over this trip at Ffos Las (good) in July when 6lb lower and beaten just 1L from this mark at Salisbury next time. Unable to get competitive on All Weather later in year and probably best watched on her reappearance.
Has mainly been kept to All Weather action, where she won a Lingfield handicap (7f) last year. 0-3 on turf, well held at Brighton last time out and others make greater appeal.
Better on the All Weather than on this surface, where the only time he finished in the money was with a win at Beverley (1m½f, good to firm) from 4lb higher in 2016. Couldn't completely rule him out it at his best, but that is a fairly big 'if'.
Went close in a couple of maidens for Ann Duffield. Below that level of form in all seven runs for Mick Appleby. Changed hands for 2,500guineas recently and makes debut for this trainer today from 3lb lower and in headgear. Interesting.
Yet to make the frame in any of her seven starts on turf or All Weather. Returns today after wind surgery and that will need to have a very positive effect if she is to figure.

Slow To Hand (5/2), Gala Celebration (7/2), Honey Badger (6/1), Marilyn (8/1), Break The Silence (10/1), Candesta (12/1), Secret Lightning (14/1), Wild Acclaim (16/1), Captain Sedgwick (16/1), Muthraab Aldaar (18/1), Sea Tea Dea (40/1), Sunset Bounty (80/1)
A race that shouldn't take too much winning could go to SLOW TO HAND, who sports headgear for the first time, has course winning form on good to firm and should be able to step up a bit on his reappearance effort. Honey Badger is respected in opposition along with Break The Silence. Muthraab Aldaar is another to consider, while Wild Acclaim is interesting on his stable debut.
- Slow To Hand
- Honey Badger
- Muthraab Aldaar
