Showed that he could handle turf last year despite his latest win coming on a Fibresand surface. That was only a weak handicap and more will be needed here although he's fairly lightly-raced and further progress is likely from a good yard.

Now makes her handicap debut having shown up quite well in maidens last year all with give in the ground. Hard to say that her opening mark is a lenient one but likely to still have some improvement in her.

Ran with credit on his handicap debut at the end of last year with his mark looking a fair one although he failed to build on that start in this sphere. Cheekpieces (worn on debut) now return although others appeal more.

Will need to show more than on his last two starts when he was well below form having only really shown his form on one of his juvenile starts. Now makes his handicap debut after being gelded back from a break.

Looks to have run himself into form this year having already won at Newcastle over 7f before following up in a solid fashion when placed at Wolverhampton. Those runs matched his turf form last year although he'll need to overcome a wide berth.

Took a while to get off the mark last year finally doing so when taking a novice stakes at Musselburgh over 7f. Comeback run didn't go to plan (looked awkward) and far from an easy ride and might be one to be wary of.

Took a race over 6f on her debut (AW) and has matched those efforts since when placed twice in events that could be considered harder. Now makes her turf/handicap debut and looks nicely weighted if she handles this surface.

Despite winning last year she looks one of the more exposed contenders and now makes her first start for this yard who do well with new recruits. Returns from a significant break here but one to note in the market.

Didn't really impress on his handicap debut having only shown some modest form in maidens. He's been handed a stiff enough mark on what he's done so far and will need to show more here although he is well drawn.

Nine start into her career and she's still a maiden although she did show a little progress on her juvenile form. Looks as though she should be competitive off this mark although might be better over further given her pedigree.

Showed some decent form on turf last year when with Richard Hannon and made a reasonable start for this yard on Tapeta. Disappointed last time though and needs to bounce back to her debut form to get involved.

A return to handicap company gives her a more realistic chance of winning than the novice company she has been keeping. She would though need to repeat her best form of last year to be competitive and a wide draw makes things difficult.

Hard to give her much of a chance on what she showed last year although she was quite lightly raced. Needs to show more going back up in trip and returning from a break.

Verdict

An open contest with plenty given a chance in this HOW BIZARRE moves back onto turf but is already up and running this year and given that he’s not had much racing could improve again returned to turf from a decent draw. Richard Fahey took this last year and runs a couple with Swiss Belle preferred to Ventura Gold from their relative post positions. Tim Easterby is another trainer that is doubly represented with Scenic River looking to be the most fancied of his duo and she’s certainly worth watching in the market given that she still has some progress in her.
