Never given much rest last year and finally gor back to winning ways at Catterick in October over 7f on testing ground. Both of his runs so far this year have been underwhelming and work to do here.

Makes his debut for a new yard having previously been with John Gosden and finished second over C&D for that yard on his last start for them. Lightly-raced and should be able to compete off this mark of 80.

Just the type that could click for this yard when they find the key to him (haven't as yet). Looks well treated on some of his previous form and one to watch in the market off this sort of mark.

Just looking at his form figures tells you that he's had plenty of chances and he remains a maiden off only an ordinary mark. Chances are that he's going to find something better handicapped here.

In better form earlier last year with a win at Ayr and then followed that up with seconds on his next two starts. Returns from a break now having ended his season rather weakly; now gelded he may be able to bounce back.

Needs a strong pace to be seen at his very best and often slow away coming late to pick up the pieces. Arrives off a rather lack-lustre effort and hard to select unless he gets a strong pace to aim at.

Lightly-raced for one of his age and has already shown ability and interesting that his powerful yard keep him in training. Given his profile he can't have been easy to train but looks nicely handicapped off 77 for one with his pedigree.

Didn't appear to find much form after winning a Newmarket maiden for his former yard early last season. Only managed to run in a modest fashion for his new yard when reappearing and more needed here.

Has really improved on the AW this winter having looked ideally suited by Fibresand and ran well again on that surface last time out despite looking awkward in the finish. Has run well on testing ground before and comes here fit and well.

Form tailed off during last year but she is now back to a mark that she's won off before if she can find some form. Stable are starting to get on a roll and dangerous to discount totally.

Looked good when winning a couple of handicaps last year and went close when last seen at Pontefract in November. Mark still looks reasonable and the yard have had a winner or two of late.

Solid sort who did well to win on the AW at Chelmsford over a mile in a maiden late last year. Took the step into handicaps well finishing in the places on her next two starts and now returns after a break with cheekpieces on for the first time.

From a yard which have had a good AW season over the winter but failed to find the key to this one who produced some poor performances. Was a prolific winner in France but hard to make a case for him here.

Just the type that this yard can turnaround especially with a fair mark to work with. He looked rather quirky and unreliable last season but can't be ruled out and the market is worth watching.

Maybe one who needs a little more time from the start of the season although he looks as though this ground will suit having scored on it before. One for later in the season in this type of contest with this bringing him on.

Had looked interesting when he ran on Fibresand last time (well backed) but finished well held. Hard not to think that's he's not better than that however and this mark looks one he can figure off if bouncing back.

Third runner in the race for the trainer and one who often travels well before finding little when asked for his effort. Given that trait it's not surprising he's on a long losing run and finished very weakly last time.

Forecasts

Loujain (4/1), Prying Pandora (6/1), Mooltazem (7/1), Mutarakez (9/1), Lamloom (10/1), Wicker (12/1), Mr Tyrrell (12/1), Music Seeker (16/1), Edgar Allan Poe (16/1), Spun Gold (16/1), Wasm (16/1), Abushamah (18/1), Stubytuesday (20/1), Kings Academy (25/1), Showboating (33/1), Boots And Spurs (33/1), Sir Ottoman (40/1)

Verdict

Quite a few interesting types in this who could potentially be well handicapped headed by Loujain although he’s not been seen for a year and might just need the race this time around. Prying Pandora and Kings Academy both feature off marks that they ought to be able to win off with Mutarakez another who is on a decent mark when connections find the key to him. MOOLTAZEM is the overall pick though given the fact he’s run well here before and looks nicely weighted. Edgar Allan Poe and Wicker are two other to throw into the mix in what should be an informative contest that will produce several winners.
  1. Mooltazem
  2. Loujain
  3. Kings Academy
