Off the mark here last month over 7f but the drop back in trip not sure to suit and he has to concede weight all round due to age/sex/penalty.
Shaped with some promise when third on debut over C&D, but couldn't build on that when last of all at Wolverhampton last time over 5f. He pulled hard that day so doubtful the step back up to this trip will suit.
Very lightly-raced for his age, having only had two starts to date. Didn't really show much on either of them though, including over C&D last time out.
Slightly disappointing when last of all in a Sandown Listed race on only his second start last May. Still could have run worse there and this is obviously much easier.
Has mostly been run in fairly deep races since winning a novice contest last June; the return to this type of contest may help.
Value for more than the length winning distance when getting off the mark at Wolverhampton when last seen. Needs to prove this step back up in trip will suit, however.
Off the mark at Salisbury last June having shaped with plenty of promise on his prior debut. Off since then but open to any amount of improvement and should go well over this trip.
Third of four on debut at Chelmsford at the end of last month. Difficult to read too much into that performance and best watched here.
Kyllachy gelding who cost 34,000gns as a two-year-old. Dam was verstaile trip-wise but won over as short as this distance and he's worth considering.
Iffraaj gelding who has an appealing pedigree, being a half-brother to a number of winners including Grade 1 winning filly Halfway to Heaven. Worth a market check on debut.
Dandy Man filly who cost €26,000 as a yearling. Yard doesn't have the best record in these contests but could still be worth a market check.
Harbour Watch filly who is a half-sister to 5f winner Fabulous Flyer, and whose dam also won over the minimum trip, so should have the pace for sprint distances.
Forecasts
Chagatai (2/1), Etefaaq (4/1), Khamry (11/2), Towelrads Boy (6/1), Initiative (6/1), Scooter (10/1), Miracle Works (16/1), Dragstone Rock (66/1), Ad Valorem Queen (66/1), Capla Demon (66/1), Fantastic Flyer (66/1), Legal Mind (250/1)
Khamry got off the mark here last time but the drop back in trip asks a small question of him and preference is for INITIATIVE. Henry Spiller's charge shaped as if there should be plenty of improvement to come when getting off the mark at Salisbury in June, and as long as he doesn't need the run here after all that time off may well go very close to picking up a second career win. Chagatai drops in class markedly here and completes the shortlist on his return from Listed company.
