Not sure what he's achieved to warrant his current mark and stable have gone six months without a winner.
Mastercraftsman colt cost 90,000 gns as a yearling and is a full-brother to the Listed winning mare Carnachy. Has been supported previously and interesting on handicap debut under a rider who is usually a positive booking by the yard.
Cape Cross colt out of a Listed winner who looked too green and keen in his first three starts. Few positives to be taken from his recent handicap debut and he looks opposable.
Well-beaten in all four starts and the fitting of blinkers suggests his capable trainer is running out of answers.
Winner over 1m at Chelmsford and has stepped up on that since tackling further. Likely there is more to come and the right man is on board to find it.
Handicap debutant tackling a trip more in line with his pedigree. Needs to step up considerably on his previous efforts and yard have been quiet.
Lightly-raced sort who has shown some ability and now tackles a trip more in line with his pedigree. Has been given a chance by the handicapper and stable had a winner here on Saturday. Would look even more interesting if attracting market support.
Attractively weighted and open to improvement at this longer trip even if her pedigree cast doubts. Noted staying on over a mile last time and should make her presence felt.
Beaten in a Lingfield seller last time and has work to do against horses who have shown more in better company.
Failed to attract much support ahead of her three starts in maidens and she has not shown enough to warrant support ahead of her handicap debut.
Forecasts
Master Grey (9/4), Four Fifty Three (3/1), Iconic Boy (10/3), Giovanni Medici (13/2), Parisian (8/1), Storm Again (20/1), Sunday Best (20/1), Golden Guide (25/1), Say About It (25/1), Lenin (33/1)
Golden Guide is open to improvement at this trip as is GIOVANNI MEDICI who is dropped in grade on his seasonal bow. He gave the impression on a few occasions during his first season that he is capable of better and the yard had a welcome winner here over the weekend. Some of his maiden form stands up to scrutiny and suggests he starts the year on an attractive mark. Four Fifty Three has been shaping well and the booking of the champion jockey adds spice, whilst we are yet to see the best of Master Grey who is an expensive purchase that has failed to meet market expectations so far.
- Giovanni Medici
