Not won since February 2016, but lurks from a much reduced handicap mark as a result. His last two runs in better company have been disappointing and he is probably better over further.
Runs to a consistent level and landed a Salisbury handicap in higher grade last September. Every chance at the weights if the market supports that view.
Winner of a couple of AW races in France over this trip and further. Has not shown anything of note over here yet but down in class for this.
Makes debut for new yard off a decreasing mark, but one which remains higher than when last successful. Nevertheless, he has a good record in this grade (2 wins and two places from five runs).
Record of 1-20 on AW tracks but he rarely runs at this level and last run suggested his turn might be near.
Sole win came on only start in this grade and just 2lb higher here. Stable in form and good claimer booked.
Has shown some ability in three AW maidens and potentially dangerous from this mark on handicap debut. Worth monitoring in pre-race trading.
Appears to have one short run in her and so needs the cards to fall right for her. Well-handicapped, and on a track she likes, if they do.
Failed to settle on his first couple of starts for Roger Varian and then found 6f too sharp when he did. More appropriate trip for stable debut and hood fitted.
Winner of three races at Brighton last year, but he is yet to make the frame on AW tracks and he has a wide draw to contend with.
Career best last time and up 2lb as a result. Looks capable of winning at this level in the near future.
Brighton specialist does not have a good AW record and little to be positive about after last week's reappearance.
Beaten by wide margins on each run and she faces a huge task from 6lb out of the weights and after an eight month break.

The Groove (4/1), Buckland Beau (9/2), The King's Steed (9/2), Squire (5/1), Ross Raith Rover (5/1), Ashazuri (7/1), Connemera Queen (12/1), Settle Petal (14/1), Barrsbrook (16/1), Buzz Lightyere (16/1), Gorham's Cave (33/1), Helis (50/1), Millie May (66/1), Live Dangerously (80/1)
A few of these have possibilities from their current marks and a lot is going to depend on how the race develops for the likes of Ross Raith Rover and Connemara Queen who need to be held up as long as possible. Barrsbrook and Gorham's Cove are interesting on their handicap debuts. Settle Petal and Squire went close enough last time to make the shortlist, but the vote goes to ASHAZURRI. Her sole career success came in this grade and trainer Jonathan Portman is 2-7 over the past two weeks.
- Ashazuri
- Settle Petal
- Squire
