Recorded another C&D success last time and has gone up 5lb in the weights. That puts him again on a career high mark but he's a progressive sort who may be able to overcome that.
C&D winner in October and has been off during the winter. 2lb higher than that winning mark but that's a fair rise and he has a notable jockey booked.
Just 2lb above his most recent winning handicap mark but has been running fairly poor recently, including over this C&D last time out.
Looks on a fair mark based on his most recent form, but comes after a break of almost 18 months, so is entitled to need this first run back.
Finished second (and ahead of Born To Finish) at Chelmsford last time, and is also a C&D winner. 5lb higher than his last winning mark but in good form and is one to consider.
Only beaten by a short head over this trip at Chelmsford last time. Also acts at this course, so should be able to go very well having been raised only 1lb.
Not in the worst form recently and is just 2lb higher than his most recent winning handicap mark. Generally goes okay first time back after a break as well.
Indications are that he's better on turf compared to AW, and difficult to get excited about his recent form (including at Wolverhampton last time).
Relatively lightly-raced and most of her starts have come in tougher races than this, though her two runs in handicaps so far have left plenty to be desired.
Beat Bernie's Boy at Chelmsford last time having finished behind Born To Finish on his penultimate start. Slowly edging up the weights but his form ties in with a few of these and he's entitled to be right there.
A winner of 7f at Wolverhampton last time but is also fine over this trip and on Polytrack. Only 1lb higher in the weights and is one for the shortlist with the same rider able to utilise her valuable claim here.
Has proven a little difficult to win with since his last win at Ffos Las last July. Only just behind Born To Finish last time but hasn't been great in a finish recently.
Forecasts
Sparkalot (11/10), Dark Side Dream (7/1), Glory of Paris (8/1), Bernie's Boy (8/1), Little Palaver (12/1), Major Valentine (12/1), Born To Finish (12/1), Related (16/1), Ninjago (25/1), Merhoob (40/1), Tundra (40/1), Bahamian Dollar (50/1)
Many of these holds claims of one form or another, but narrow preference is for BORN TO FINISH. Jamie Osborne's charge goes well at this course (three wins) and was only beaten a short head in a race at Chelmsford last time that he probably would have won if breaking more alertly. His form ties in with a few of these, including Glory of Paris, who he beat narrowly two starts ago and should also be on the premises again. Meanwhile off top weight Sparkalot in an improving sort who could defy a 5lb rise in the weights.
- Born To Finish
- Glory of Paris
- Sparkalot
