Consistent individual but only a turf and a fibresand win to his name already. Ran as well as ever when a runner-up at Southwell last time out in November but, as a result, faces a career-high mark for his return.
A prolific synthetics winner over the years and advertised his present well-being by swooping late to win from a 2lb lower mark at Chelmsford (5f) last time out. Winless on this track, however, from six previous attempts.
Twice a 5f winner with Bill Turner from 15 attempts and produced a fair effort for his new yard on his first start since May when beaten 4L over C&D earlier this month. Should come on for that.
Experienced campaigner who gained career win number 13 in a Southwell claimer last month and has since placed in successive events at Chelmsford for this yard. Likely to produce another bold show but no margin for error.
Cashed in on a falling rating when winning off this same mark at Wolverhampton in December but hasn't raced with quite the same sparkle since, most recently when closely-matched with Just That Lord over C&D. More needed.
Winning for the seventh time on turf when victorious over 5f at Salisbury in the summer but ended the campaign with two poor efforts. Reappears here still searching for a first AW win at the 13th attempt.
A four-time winner over this C&D. most recently off a 1lb higher mark back in May. Had both Union Rose and Just The Lord in arrears when second over C&D on his penultimate start and should go well from stall 1.
Three early turf wins but has since developed into something of a fibresand-specialist with five wins at Southwell. The last time he appeared away from that venue he was only third over 6f here from a 10lb lower mark.
Dual C&D winner in the past but his current losing streak has now been extended to 16 races following a lacklustre effort at Chelmsford last time out, though he is capable of much better than he showed that day.
Forecasts
Brother Tiger (7/4), Captain Lars (9/4), Arzaak (4/1), Dynamo Walt (7/1), Just That Lord (7/1), Union Rose (16/1), Zipedeedodah (20/1), Piazon (33/1), Waseem Faris (33/1)
An open-looking contest and a chance for BROTHER TIGER to notch C&D win number five from an inside draw. Despite his advancing years, David Griffiths gelding has been knocking at the door all winter off a slightly higher mark and had both Union Rose and Just That Lord in arrears when finishing second over C&D earlier this month. Captain Lars and Dyanamo Walt also look capable of playing a leading role.
- Brother Tiger
- Captain Lars
- Dynamo Walt
