Dual turf scorer earlier in the season his form of late in that sphere has been below form apart from shaping well at the Curragh. Makes his Fibresand debut now (pedigree gives hope he will act on surface) but remains 6lb above his last winning mark.
Five of his seven course victories have come over this trip and looked as though he would be one to bear in mind after his run over 5f here last time. Could well have needed the run and has now slipped 1lb below his last winning mark; speedy sort.
Well-bred sort who is a dual Tapeta scorer over 6f and 7f earlier in the year who may well have needed the run last time over 7f (first-time cheekpieces) having travelled well. Didn't quite get the run of the race there and now makes her Fibresand debut; sire has a respectable record here.
C&D winner in the past off a 5lb lower mark but was in better form then and the losing run is starting to look ominously long now. Hasn't had many chances over 6f of late but the chances are this grade will prove to be a little too tough.
Looked better than ever when winning at Chelmsford last time out and is a C&D winner here. A five-time winner this season (all on the AW) he goes unpenalised here and if able to back-up that run off a short break he's in the mix here.
Capable of some useful form in his prime his overall record now has a rather patchy look to it and there are some doubts about his attitude. Underperformed over 5f here last time and hopes will be pinned in a return to 6f; overall one to be wary of.
Comes here defending an unbeaten record over C&D (2/2) scoring decisively on both occasions but both times in a lower grade than he faces today. Has proved competitive in this class on turf though and no reason to believe he won't be effective off this mark.
A winner on his first start for this yard he rather lost his way after that victory but ran one of his better races last time at Catterick in the end of October. His mark is certainly workable but with his stable a little quiet and making his first start on this surface he may be best watched.
Makes her Fibresand debut with hope given that she will act on this surface by the fact her sire has a 23% strike-rate here. Blinkers go on for the first time having looked a hard ride at Newcastle last time when making her AW debut; one to watch in the market.
2/2 on this surface when with Robert Cowell and made a good start for his new yard with two turf wins in his first three starts. Took a step back in the right direction returned here of the back of a poor run last time but question marks posed by this 6f trip.
Just one run here before that showed very little promise and has looked to be just going through the motions since winning in the summer at Nottingham off 4lb higher. Other preferred here given his recent form.
Hit a real purple patch earlier in the year going 2241211 over C&D with the last win coming off a 5lb lower mark. Last two runs here have come over 5f (looks better over 6f) and the late headway he made last time showed that he should be of interest here.
Hardly a stranger to success around here (7/27) with his last two wins here coming over C&D (has won on turf twice in the meantime). Slipped back below his last winning Fibresand mark and showed plenty of spark last time; dangerous if getting away on terms.
Has run respectably around here before without looking like a winner waiting to happen on the surface. Comes here on the back of modest enough effort at Lingfield (hung right for much of the race) and remains 3lb above her last winning mark.
Forecasts
Call Out Loud (5/1), Tricky Dicky (6/1), Boost (6/1), Crosse Fire (13/2), Treaty Of Rome (7/1), Razin' Hell (8/1), Cashla Bay (10/1), Penny Dreadful (10/1), Adam's Ale (10/1), Gin In The Inn (12/1), Aguerooo (12/1), Gnaad (16/1), Mujassam (20/1), Zapper Cass (20/1)
The best race on the card in terms of quality and there are a few here that are very at home on this unique surface mixed in with a few improvers who haven’t run here before. RAZIN’ HELL is always to be respected around here and having slipped back below his last winning mark is given a chance of returning to winning ways. Treaty Of Rome and Crosse Fire are two others with plenty of previous here with both looking as though they could score soon. Perhaps the biggest danger comes from Tricky Dicky who is unbeaten here and will appreciate a return to this surface. Boost and Cashla Bay are a couple of wildcards on this surface with the former looking as though she has more to come while Call Out Loud is in good form and contributes to the strength in depth of this event.
- Razin' Hell
- Tricky Dicky
- Treaty Of Rome
