Picked up for just £3,000 after winning a Catterick claimer in July (5f), he downed subsequent winner Jonnysimpson when scoring on his third start for this trainer at Bath last month (5f soft). Up 6lb, AW debut.
C&D winner on debut in May, beating Three Little Birds by 1½L. Not kicked on since then, but has been upped in class and often raced over 6f. Better than the bare result latest (no run whatsoever).
A five race maiden, but shown glimmers since switched to synthetics and handicaps. Beaten just over 2L by Cuppacoco at Newcastle on her penultimate start (fourth).
Zebedee filly who has AW experience, but now tries the handicap route for the first time on her fourth career start. Not shown enough to suggest her turn is imminent, but the application of first time cheek-pieces might sharpen her focus.
2½L Kempton runner up to Jonnysimpson on her final start for Ann Duffield last month (handicap debut). Up 1lb, and with a new trainer as she seeks to build upon that improved effort.
Not shown all that much in three starts over this trip on turf, and is switched to the AW for her handicap debut.
Clutching at straws to say that she's improving, but did okay given the opposition at Nottingham latest (6f good to soft). Handicap debut, and others preferred.
Raced over a variety of trips during his five race career, and it's anyone's guess as to what is his optimum distance. Fallen 6lb in the weights since switched to handicaps.
Seven race maiden who looks of rather limited ability. Her best effort came over 7f at Newmarket in August (soft) when a 2¼L runner up to Lexington Grace (seller). Wears first time cheek-pieces.
Forecasts
Magic Pulse (13/8), Just For The Craic (3/1), Blessed To Empress (9/2), Avon Green (7/1), Swift Fox (14/1), Cool Baby (14/1), Chizz De Biz (22/1), Red Snapper (40/1), Kylie Style (50/1)
A weak nursery, in which the majority of the runners are fillies. Just For The Craic is one of two geldings in the contest, and he has already proved a shrewd acquisition out of a Catterick claimer for just £3,000. He needs to prove his worth on the AW, and is 6lb higher than when beating subsequent scorer Jonnysimpson at Bath last month, so there might be a squeak of value in taking him on. Magic Pulse has left Ann Duffield since a much improved effort latest, and could be thereabouts on debut for David Griffiths, but the speculative play is BLESSED TO EMPRESS. She is a C&D winner in May, who was denied a clear run at Lingfield on her most recent start, and her trainer has her string in excellent order at present.
