5/1
C&D winner in April from a 4lb lower mark (dead-heated with Mowhoob). Back from a summer break with a couple of recent runs on turf, and beaten less than 2L by Our Greta over 7f at Yarmouth latest.

Off for ten months prior to returning to action at Brighton earlier this month (1m good to soft). Remains a seven race AW maiden (two time winner on turf).

Improving, and placed on both of his recent starts at this track. Headed in the final strides by Titan Goddess when beaten a head over C&D last week (Miss Mirabeau third), so has obvious claims off the same mark.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-4| J: George Wood(3)| T: J R Fanshawe| OR:  59

Lightly raced overall (five race maiden), and produced a career best when beaten a head by Luxford (Mach One third) over 1m2f here in early October. Up 4lb, and down in trip, but surely on the premises.

Miss Mirabeaub7
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-4| J: Ryan Powell| T: Sir Mark Prescott| OR:  59
5/1
A seven race maiden who has shown bits and pieces of reasonable form. Seemingly found her trip last week when just under 1L third to Titan Goddess (Mach One second), and doesn't have to improve much to reverse those placings.

Junoesquep24
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: F Sweeney| T: J Gallagher| OR:  58
16/1
A ten race maiden who at face value looks rather exposed. However, she's had just the one start on the AW, and that was a 5¼L C&D fourth of eight to Kitty Boo (maiden fillies) in late September.

Beaten 1L by Mr Potter over 7f here on his penultimate start last month, but disappointing subsequently, and more worryingly he doesn't tend to win all that often (1 from 15 career on the AW).

Ronni Layne16
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: R Havlin| T: C Allen| OR:  51
16/1
A 12 race maiden who ran on strongly from off the pace to finish a close up third to Art's Desire over 7f here in late September, and is probably worth another try over this trip, but on the whole, others are preferred.

Never Folding22
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: S W Kelly| T: S Durack| OR:  51
16/1
A nine race maiden who was thereabouts when sixth over C&D on her penultimate start, in a race won by Chetan, but backed out of contention tamely at Kempton latest (7f) so couldn't be recommended.

Lightly raced, but had shown precious little until finishing fourth of 12 to Hot Mustard over the extended mile at Wolverhampton recently. Needs to build upon that effort tonight.

Cookie Ringt12
Age: 6|  Weight: 8-7| J: S A Gray| T: Kristin Stubbs| OR:  45| C
33/1
Course winner (7f) for Patrick Holmes in February 2016, but has been bang out of form for the entire calendar year. Finished seventh of 12 at Wolverhampton latest (Subotal fourth).

Blackadderp114
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-7| J: Megan Nicholls| T: Mark Gillard| OR:  45
66/1
A 23 race career maiden. His previous AW experience has been limited to Kempton, and he posted a turgid effort in soft ground at Brighton latest (1m), so the first time cheek-pieces will need to have a miraculous effect.

Breaking Freep127
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-6| J: J F Egan| T: J & S Quinn| OR:  47
10/1
A 13 race career maiden (0 from 3 on the AW). Effective as such from this mark, and twice a runner up on synthetics, including over 7f here in July, but not achieved enough overall, hence the application of cheek-pieces.

Ripper Streeth17
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-5| J: Jane Elliott(5)| T: Mrs C A Dunnett| OR:  46
33/1
A 15 race career maiden, who has posted a couple of dismal efforts at this track since late August (not beaten a single rival). Drops in trip from 1m2f.

Tilly Devine28
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-5| J: K T O'Neill| T: S Dixon| OR:  45
66/1
A six race career maiden who has shown no worthwhile form whatsoever. An official rating of 39 probably flatters her.

Verdict

With all due respect to connections, it's not all that difficult to put a line through the majority of these runners, and forming a list of potential winners doesn't take too long. Samphire Coast will appreciate a return to Chelmsford, and he could be on the premises despite top-weight, now sharper for a couple of recent spins on the turf. However, the trio to concentrate upon with interlinked form-lines are Mach One, Miss Mirabeau and WOOTYHOOT. The Fanshawe trained runner gets the nod despite having risen 4lb in the weights for his head second to Luxford (1m2f) earlier this month.
