Victorious over this trip at Sandown (good-to-firm) in August last year. Held twice subsequently and making his belated seasonal debut and first appearance since being gelded today.
Returning to form when finishing runner-up over C&D on good-to-soft ground last time out. Races off the same mark today and has won on soft ground in the past.
Successful on heavy ground over an extended 7f at Chester last month and followed up with a good second at the same course a fortnight later. Well held last time and interesting to see how he fares today.
Well beaten in two starts since finishing 3L third over 7f at Newbury (soft) in August. Races off a 7lb lower mark today and has won off higher marks in the past.
In decent enough form prior to finishing well beaten at Kempton last time out. Unproven on ground softer than good-to-soft however and probably best watched.
Successful three times this summer including on soft ground at Sandown over this trip in August. Well held since however and races off a 1lb higher mark today.
Victorious twice over this C&D in July and a respectable effort when finishing third over 7f at Newmarket (good-to-soft) last time out. Unproven on forecast soft ground.
Impressive C&D winner on good-to-soft ground in August. Well beaten since and interesting to see how she fares on her return to this track.
Wore cheekpieces (retained) for the first time when victorious over an extended 1m at Nottingham (good-to-soft) earlier this month. Races off a 5lb higher mark today and yard are in good form at present (4/12).
Made all under a good tactical ride to win by 5L at Lingfield (good-to-soft) over an extended 7f last month but well held off this mark subsequently and others make more appeal.
Drop in grade and trip appeared to suit when finishing runner-up over an extended 1m at Nottingham (good-to-soft) last time out. Raised 2lb for that effort and an interesting runner today.
Successful three times in a 31 race career and put in a fair performance at a big price when finishing fourth over this C&D on good-to-soft ground last time out. Interesting if building on that.
Forecasts
Sir Roderic (5/1), Dark Devil (13/2), Mikmak (13/2), Harlequin Striker (7/1), Golden Wedding (7/1), Ghalib (8/1), Sayem (12/1), Wealth Tax (12/1), Kyllachys Tale (12/1), Glorious Poet (16/1), Dutch Uncle (16/1), Wimpole Hall (50/1)
HARLEQUIN STRIKER can follow up his recent Nottingham victory when wearing cheekpieces for the first time for in form trainer Dean Ivory. The selection ran well here earlier in the year and can defy a 5lb rise for that latest victory by getting the better of Dutch Uncle who ran well over C&D last time out. Sayem, unproven on today's ground but a winner here twice earlier in the year is taken to claim third following a decent effort last time.
- Harlequin Striker
- Dutch Uncle
- Sayem
