Tried over a variety of trips but all to no avail so far. Has plenty of assistance with virtually all the applications possible fitted today; but still very hard to see him being good enough.

Moderate filly who is yet to make the first three in 10 attempts and now tackles a new trip. Would have less to do if this was a handicap and hard to fancy.

Not a bad effort here last time and the extra 2f will help based on pedigree. Meets higher rated rivals here and so needs to improve considerably.

Hung right under pressure when favourite on return to action three weeks ago. Should appreciate the extra 2f here and hood would be expected to help. Rider is usually a significant booking for the yard (13-48 for a 39 points profit).

Has been looking rather one paced over a mile so no surprise to see him stepping up in trip. Half-brother to a 1m4f winner and he would not need to improve much to take this.

Nine race maiden who is usually thereabouts, but maybe lacks the pace or the will to sustain a winning challenge. Last two runs have been dismal and he does not appear one to place maximum faith in.

Moderate form in bumpers and lacked the pace to sustain a challenge over 1m4f here in August. Work to do over this shorter trip.

Further signs of progress last time and this will be his first run on a sound surface. Half-brother to two AW winners including the useful Elbereth and market support would further raise expectations at this lowly level.

Should have finished a lot closer to the winner last time judged on her proximity to him on debut. A three month absence suggests there was something amiss but advisable to hold a watching brief for now.

Unraced daughter of Paco Boy purchased for £1,400 at the sales in July. Half-sister to winner Sir Van Dyke but probably best watched on debut.

Set a steady pace at Lingfield on soft ground (1m4f) last time when hanging persistently under pressure. Had shown enough on two prior AW starts to suggest there was a race of this nature to be won with her.

Forecasts

Wine List (6/4), Rainbow Rising (3/1), Deliberator (4/1), Second Page (6/1), My Illusionist (16/1), Tiar Na Nog (20/1), D'waterside (25/1), Cthulhu (50/1), Cloud Nine (80/1), Paco Filly (100/1), Trust The Man (100/1)

Verdict

Rainbow Rising and Deliberator have shown enough to show they are capable of winning a race such as this but both hung under pressure last time and WINE LIST makes more appeal. Andrew Balding's charge has little to find on form and has room for improvement, particularly now getting a decent surface to race on. My Illusionist has each-way claims in a race where few have the ability to be competitive.
