Didn't need to improve to win 11-runner claimer at Fairyhouse over 1m2f last time out, has a penalty to contend and this is tougher.

Also landed a claimer last time out over 1m2f at Naas, has had a short break since that win in June and no certainty to back the run up.

Just the three runs in maidens before leaving Sir Michael Stoute and showed enough to merit plenty respect now pithed into a handicap for this AW/stable bow.

Former C&D winner and regular visitor to this track, needs to put a Newcastle flop last time out behind her. That came in June and she hasn't been out since, though had been in decent form here prior.

Hasn't enjoyed the best of summer campaigns on turf (most recently tried over hurdles) but most recent figures here are 11222, and is just 2lb higher than when last appearing at this venue. Could bounce back to form.

Now 18 runs since last win in 2015. Finished last of seven over hurdles at Tramore (2m, good) 36 days ago and has to bounce back in this sphere once more.

Won a C&D maiden last November under this talented claimer, gone well in three turf starts this summer at up to 1m4f and should have a say on return to the AW.

All three career wins have come over this C&D, most recently in March 2016 off a mark of 76. Unconvincing over jumps this year, but returned to this surface with first-time blinkers there could be a revival.

Career-best when Galway handicap over extended-mile last time out, goes up 4lb for that win and significantly up in trip. Can have a say again if in similar mood and has won here over 1m2½f.

Won a decent Cork handicap in May over 1m4f on good to firm, before suffering defeats in three starts. Still 5lb higher than last win and others make clearer appeal for this prize.

Two wins and five placed efforts from 17 Flat starts on turf, both successes coming beyond 2m. First attempt on this surface, previous effort over his sort of trip at Limerick in June gives him some hope.

Verdict

MOKHALAD ran with plenty promise in a trio of maidens under the eye of Sir Michael Stoute and could easily improve now going handicapping over this longer trip for new connections. In an open contest, he's worth taking a punt to make a winning start in this country. Dancing Doll is a former C&D winner and should be capable of getting into the mix having been a shade unlucky in running recently at Bellewstown while Nearly Famous is also respected despite carrying a penalty for winning a claimer at Fairyhouse. Three-time C&D winner Carried can be given a squeak at a price with new headgear while last time out Galway winner Serefeli also goes well at this track.
