Claims on the pick of her form but this season's efforts have left a bit to be desired. Well handicapped but hard to get too enthusiastic on these terms.
Put a barren spell behind him when blitzing his field at Bath last month. That was only his second career win and he is no certainty to respond to the blinkers in the same way given his previous lack of consistency.
Finally got off the mark with a bold effort over C&D last time out. Responded well for today's rider on that occasion and very possible there may be a bit more to come now the filly's confidence has been topped up. Worth a betting check.
Tried over a variety of trips but all to no avail so far. Has plenty of assistance with virtually all the applications possible fitted today; but still very hard to see him being good enough.
Another long standing maiden who's form lacks any sort of consistency. At least stays the trip but needs others to under perform by quite some way if she is going to figure.
Placed once in an AW maiden but has made very little progress this season and isn't hard to overlook; even in such a weak event as this.
Switched yards at the start of this season but even the surroundings at home have so far failed to inspire a change of fortune on the racecourse. Pulled up at Southwell latest and comes here with a lot to prove.
Finished third of 14 at Souwell latest but was still well held by the front pair, so dangerous to read too much into that. Also has a bit to prove over this shorter trip and may find at least a couple of the others are better suited.
Form in maidens uninspiring and makes limited appeal now he goes handicapping even though he is unexposed on turf.
Another with plenty of holes in his form and the first time blinkers need to work wonders for him to even make the frame.
Half-sister to the classy Presvis who makes her handicap debut at a very modest level. Adds to her shrewd trainer's chances of lifting the lion's share of the spoils. The betting can be a good guide as to any stable preference.
Finished last on recent debut for this yard and very hard to see him being in the thick of the action on that evidence. Also needs to prove himself over this new trip. Readily opposable on these terms.

Gary Moore holds a strong hand here and any support for the well-related Sampaquita could bode well for the handicap debutante. However, stablemate LORD E has been in much better form than any of the rest and looks the one to beat in this moderate event. Kilim broke her maiden over C&D last time and, from just 3lb higher, she is feared most from the rest. Altaira also posted an improved effort last time and could fill a gap in the frame if any of his main rivals are forced to sit this one out for any reason.
- Lord E
- Sampaquita
- Kilim
