Goes well here and has already won twice here over 1m1f this season with cut in the ground. Beaten just a neck back here last time from 1lb lower, he also won this race last year when 14lb lower and he is unlikely to be far away again.

Scored over this trip at Ayr in July when 7lb lower and went close back there next time from just 1lb lower than today and in better company. Out of sorts on his last two runs, but goes well here and is capable of being thereabouts.

Sole success to date was over C&D (good to soft) from 2lb lower. Well beaten at Newcastle last time out and needs to return to the sort of form he produced when making the frame here two starts ago if he is to prevail.

Finished ahead of Crazy Tornado when the pair met at Ayr last month (1m, good to soft) and was not far behind Thornaby Nash when third here last time, for which he now gets a 6lb pull. From the same mark, he looks a leading player.

Won a soft ground Ponterfract handicap (1m) last month to add to his C&D success in July. Same mark today as when a 1½L third at Ripon (1m, good) last time and should be on the premises if overcoming his wide draw.

Has two 1m1f course wins to his name but is equally effective over this trip as he showed when winning at Ayr last month. However, looks to be weighted up to the hilt as a result and probably has each-way claims at best.

Yet to win on turf, where two of his three placed efforts have been on faster ground than he will encounter here. Little encouragement in his return from a break at Redcar last month and looks best watched at present.

Best two efforts have been on the Tapeta at Newcastle and then when winning a Leicester seller (1m, soft) in July. Well held from today's mark at Beverley last time and looks in need of improvement to figure.

Won a Hamilton maiden (6f, good) last year but the handicapper has had a firm grip on him since. Beaten 16½L on each of his last two outings and has now dropped 20lb this year. Market support for him would be interesting.

Scored over C&D (good to soft) last time out, for which he has gone up just 1lb. Has already gone close from 4lb higher than this at Redcar earlier in the campaign, so can't be discounted in his follow-up bid despite his narrow margin of success.

Was 4lb higher when dead-heating for a win at Epsom (1m2f, good) last season and also ran well from that mark of 60 at Beverley in July, her best effort since. This stiff mile could play to her strengths, but she does carry risks on recent evidence.

Won then fresh at Newcastle in March (7f, AW) from 3lb lower and was not far away from the same mark next time. Not seen since well beaten when stepped up to 1m2f at Nottingham in April and now makes debut for this yard. Has it to do from this mark.

Verdict

I'm Dapper Too has made good strides since winning this last year and despite now being a stone higher, he should make a bold bid. Crazy Tornado has claims, as does Ventura Secret if his wide draw can be overcome. Foresight would be very interesting if backed, while Thornaby Nash will do well to follow-up his C&D win now 6lb worse off with both Supreme Power and JAY KAY, and it is the latter who just gets the vote.
