Son of Poet's Voice, who is doing well with his first crop. Cost 20,000 gns as a foal and is a half-brother to seven winners. Appeals on breeding, but stable has been a bit quiet.

Son of Showcasing. who is a half-brother to a useful winner up to 1m in Fire Brigade. Wore a tongue tie on debut over 5f at Bath and was a fair third of seven, weakening inside the final furlong as lack of a run rook its toll. Should improve.

Ran green on debut at Newbury and stepped up on that effort when fourth of eight at Bath. Needs to progress again to figure and is probably one for nurseries.

By Australian sire Sepoy, he cost £13,000 as yearling and is a half-brother to three winners from 6f to 1m. Worth a check in the betting on debut.

Stepped up on Windsor debut when fourth of 11 from a wide draw at Wolverhampton. Likely to go forward again, but may do better in handicaps.

Fetched 125,000 gns as a yearling and is another colt by Kyllachy. Plenty of speed on dam's side, too, but started slowly on debut at Salisbury and was not given a hard time under today's jockey. Carries leading owner's first colours.

By Oasis Dream, he is a full brother to 5f-mile winner Ejbaar. Failed to beat a rival when slowly away at Leicester on debut, but should be wiser this time. Looks owner's second string on jockey bookings.

Kodiac colt who cost €48,000 as a foal (dipped to £24,000 as a yearling) before surging to a whopping 240,000 gns earlier this year. Had Laubali well behind when second on debut at Salisbury and sets a clear standard with improvement anticipated.

10/1
Daughter of Camacho who was bought for €26,000 as a foal, but fetched only £5,000 as a two-year-old. Well-held third of five on debut at Bath and needs to take a leap forward.

Daughter of leading sprinter Equiano who is a sister to 6f winner Black Salt. Stable not a prolific source of juvenile winners, but worth a market check all the same.

Forecasts

Ragstone Road (11/10), Go Roo (4/1), Expelled (9/2), Laubali (7/1), City Gent (10/1), Katie Lee (10/1), Wotamadam (14/1), Bbob Alula (16/1), Mutabaahy (25/1), Arigato (25/1), Count Otto (33/1), Dracarys (66/1), Seaquinn (66/1)

Verdict

One or two of the debutants appeal on breeding, but RAGSTONE ROAD looks much the safest option. An expensive purchase earlier this year, he shaped with great promise on debut at Salisbury and that form gives him stand-out claims with improvement likely. Laubali was well behind him on debut, but should fare much better this time, while Go Roo and Bbob Alula can go well on their second starts.
