Bathwick Tyres St Hugh's Stakes (Fillies' Listed)

Footstepsinthesand filly, cost €16,000 as a yearling, impressive on debut when third of 11 and built on that promise when landing a Fairyhouse maiden in good style last month. Third in a decent race at the Curragh last time and good chance she make her presence felt here.

Soft ground winner at Doncaster on her second start and fair effort in defeat at Nottingham last time. While she's proven in softer conditions, this represents a big step up in class and other bring stronger form to the table.

Won at Chepstow on fourth start but has struggled in Listed company either side of that win and this looks at least as strong as either of those races. May struggle again.

Winner of a respectable contest at Sandown in June but couldn't back that up in Listed class here last time, folding tamely. Drop back to the minimum trip should suit but plenty of improvement needed to figure.

Improved from a promising debut to finish runner-up at Lingfield two starts back and better again at Leicester last time when making all with a certain degree of ease. Trainer does well with his young fillies but this is much tougher than her previous assignments; further progress not ruled out.

Very impressive on debut at Ascot and drawn on the wrong side when well beaten at Royal Ascot. Beat the rest of the group she raced with though and she was impressive at Nottingham last month when making all. Softer ground is an unknown but likely to have an each-way chance and more improvement to come.

Beaten odds on favourite on second start but won her races with a degree of authority either side of that contest, including a Class 3 at York. Signs in her pedigree that she will enjoy this sort of ground and should run well.

Not far behind Mrs Gallagher on debut and landed the odds at Windsor in May. Ran a big race at Royal Ascot two starts back and far from disgraced in a Group 2 at Newmarket last time out finishing 3L behind Clemmie. Will appreciate this drop in class and should go well with top jockey in the saddle.

Off the mark at the fifth attempt at Catterick two starts back when justifying odds-on favouritism and ran a respectable race at Deauville in a decent Listed contest earlier in the week. Claims if she can build on that.

Runner-up in a pair of valuable maidens in Ireland and improved to win a decent contest at Downpatrick last time. Form of that race has been franked by the runner-up since and proven with some cut in the ground. Leading player here.

Improved to win at Lingfield on second start and did that in assertive fashion but big step up needed on that form to land a blow here and soft ground may not be her bag; opposable.

Improved from debut to win easily at Thirsk on second start but she was a beaten favourite at short prices the last twice. Too soon to right her off but needs a better finishing effort if she's going to take this step up in class in her stride.

Maiden winner at Nottingham on second start but struggled at Royal Ascot next time out. Better in a Group 3 at Goodwood last time but still needs more improvement to figure.

Well beaten on debut when she was an even money favourite last time but she was clearly expected to run better than that and duly did so at Beverley last time when making all to win with some authority last time out. Needs another fair amount of improvement to win here though and won't get such an easy time of things on the front end with plenty of pace in the contest.

Too green on debut at Wolverhampton in April but much better attitude when winning on second and third start, latter of which a Class 2 contest at Chester. Seemingly the yard's first string from their three runners in here and while improvement is required, she should run well again.
