Unraced fourth foal by Bated Breath out of Buffering and a half-brother to the fair 1m AW winner Roller. His dam was Listed placed at just shy of 1m2f, and with the stable saddling a winning juvenile last week is worth noting.
Unraced fourth foal by Holy Roman Emperor out of an unraced mare (Dance Avenue). A half-brother to 7f juvenile winner Ultimate Avenue, he's probably best watched in this contest.
A half-brother to 7f juvenile winner Iberis and 6f AW winner Mawjooah, this colt needs to leave his Newmarket debut (last of ten to Being There) well behind him in order to be involved.
Unraced 125,000 gns yearling by Kyllachy out of Different. His dam's side is all about speed, as she was a half-sister to Group placed 5f winner Mary Read, and this colt could prove sharp enough on debut with the champion jockey booked.
Lethal Force colt who cost 27,000 gns as a foal and 42,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to several winners including the useful Space War and dam out of German 1,000 Guineas winner. His debut sixth of seven to Mythical Magic has already been franked by the winner (French Listed winner since), and could be furthermore so by Strategist in the opener.
Never involved at any stage and finished last of those to complete having run green throughout at Goodwood earlier this month (6f good). Unlikely to be any match for the lesser exposed types.
Unraced Kodiac colt out of Greenflash. Cost €48,000 as a foal (dipped to £24,000 as a yearling) before surging to a whopping 240,000 gns earlier this year. A third foal out of a 7f AW winning dam who is likely to do better with experience.
Not really gone forward since finishing a fair fourth on debut in a Newbury Conditions Stakes in May (6f soft). Looked one paced on his first try over further at Goodwood latest.
100,000 gns yearling by Dandy Man out of 6f and 7f winner Monivea, so should have the required attributes for sprinting. However, needs to be stronger than on debut at Goodwood earlier in the month (6f good).

This looks slightly weaker than the opening contest on paper with Lord Vetinari quite possibly the pick of those horses with form in the book. Therefore, preference is for one of the newcomers, and the pair to concentrate upon would appear to be the Roger Charlton trained Buffer Zone, and the Owen Burrows trained 125,000 gns yearling LAUBALI. With the former named bred to be suited by longer trips, preference is for the latter with the Champion Jockey Jim Crowley booked to ride. This Kyllachy colt looks all about speed (out of a 5f winning Dam), and would only be opposed should an absolute deluge materialise.
