Winner of three races in 2016 (one over C&D) and returned to form in first-time headgear when a close third at Newmarket. Went well in a better race than this at Chelmsford earlier in the year and looks nicely weighted here on that form.

Has been performing against classier opponents of late and last run in this grade brought a comfortable success of a 3lb lower mark. Has gone well here previously and looks a major player with one of the apprentice finds of the season on board.

Has been aimed much higher than this of late but has begun to look quirky and the handicapper has been slow to relax his grip. Sole success came on the tapeta at Newcastle.

C&D winner last autumn and started this season handicapped to the hilt. Looked better at Chester on penultimate start when shown some leniency. A subsequent reassessment saw him well held last time and makes him hard to fancy in this.

Winner of five races here and now dips below his last winning mark. Top rider booked and the combination are leading contenders.

Won a poor claimer for Ralph Beckett in March and has hardly beaten a rival since. Dropping down the weights at a rapid rate but appears one to have reservations about at present. drops in distance and has a course win to his name.

Won a valuable conditions race at Chelmsford last year but not been in the same form since that win. Drops significantly in class and races off a career low mark.

Beat a subsequent Newmarket winner (Luna Bear) when taking a Lingfield maiden in May, and whilst he has been beaten twice since, he did bump into the progressive Mojito at Sandown on his last start (ninth of ten). Dropped in the weights so not entirely dismissed on return to an AW track.

Handicapped fairly on the form of his two AW maidens prior to a poor run on turf when last seen. Stable are in better shape now but there has to be a question mark over his readiness for a race as competitive as this.

Still a maiden after seven starts but has posted some good efforts in defeat. Tonight's rider is 3-8 for the trainer and has been on board for his last two starts. Disappointing last time and the fitting of a tongue-tie for the first time is a clear indicator something was amiss. Interesting.

Winner at Lingfield in February over 6f but for has been patchy since. Has winning form here but this is a strong race for the grade and he may come up short.

Started the campaign in promising style here and at Lingfield but struggled off higher marks in better company subsequently. Gelded since his last run six weeks ago and interesting to see if there is any market confidence behind him. Rider 5-17 for the yard in 2017.

Verdict

Jockey bookings make both Envisaging and Sea Shack interesting and both need to be monitored in the market with their respective yard's having made interventions since their latest runs which may improve their performances here. Course specialist Dutiful Son catches the eye off this mark with another significant rider being booked. Baron Bolt is another who has dropped in the weights and the booking of a top claimer adds to his chances. OWER FLY has a good AW record and the fitting of blinkers had a positive effect last time. His stable are going well and, despite topweight, he is on an attractive mark.
