Only her second run on the AW when winning over 7f at this track at 33-1 two starts ago and nowhere near that form off 6lb higher at Redcar last time. Runs off the same mark, but the return to this surface should suit.
Fair strike rate of 3-14 on the AW and won an apprentice handicap over C&D in January. Obvious chance of 1lb lower, but recent efforts have not been encouraging and he tries his luck for a new trainer.
Four runs for current trainer have all been on turf, but he is an AW winner and the return to an artificial surface off a reduced handicap mark could see him in the shake-up.
Winner of four races, three of them on AW surfaces and two of them at this track over 7f. Recent runs have been fair without suggesting another success is imminent, but she is inching down the ratings and likely to pop up at some stage.
One win from eight starts, but that came over C&D in maiden company in his second race in December. Has struggled in handicap company since, particularly on his last two starts, but he should appreciate the return to this track off a career-low mark.
Won twice when trained by Paul Cole, but is 0-15 on the AW and has shown little in four starts since joining his current yard. The handicapper has relented, but there is nothing else with which to recommend him,
Remains a maiden after four starts on turf and four on the AW, but has some bits and pieces of form which give her a chance. Has slipped to a feasible mark and is of interest for her good stable.
Offputting record of 0-12 on the AW, but ran much better on the latest of two starts since his return to his current trainer following a fruitless spell in the UAE when fourth of 11 at this track last time. Blinkered for the first time and is one of the more interesting contenders.
Still a maiden after seven starts, but is not devoid of ability and ran his best race so far when third of 14 at Newcastle last time. He wore a hood for the first time that day and the headgear is on again so he looks a contender off the same handicap mark.
Registered her only win in 36 starts when successful over C&D in January and has been well held on the AW and turf since. She is 3lb lower than when successful, so she is not without hope if in the mood.
Five runs so far have revealed only limited ability, and his last run, when eighth of 13 over C&D, was arguably his best. Races off 3lb lower which will help, but overall profile suggests he will struggle.
Forecasts
False Id (4/1), Molten Lava (4/1), Sir Lancelott (5/1), Beadlam (13/2), Royal Icon (8/1), Born To Reason (10/1), Raashdy (12/1), Prince Jai (14/1), Binky Blue (16/1), Pivotal Dream (20/1), Tawfeer (66/1)
Beadlam is 1-2 on the AW and is respected despite shouldering top weight, while cases can be made for Sir Lancelott, False Id, Binky Blue and Royal Icon. However, the two which make most appeal are PRINCE JAI and Born To Reason, with the former just shading the vote following a good run at this track last time.
- Prince Jai
- Born To Reason
- Beadlam
