Sole outing so far was in a bumper almost a year ago when he finished an 11L runner-up. Should stay this far on that evidence, together with that of his pedigree, and is one to have a look at in the market. Yard not renowned for debut winners in this sphere.

Won a 2m4f handicap hurdle (good) here by 12L on his debut for this yard in June and now makes his Flat debut. Dam is a half-sister to a 1m3f Flat winner, so every chance he will see this out and is another to check out in the market to gauge any confidence. Acts with some cut.

Well held in all starts so far including his Flat debut at Windsor (1m2f, good to firm) last time. Impossible to recommend until we have seen more from him.

First foal of a 1m-1m3½f winner, out of a half-sister to French 1m4f Listed winner Stikine, who is granddaughter of Group-placed 1m2f winning half-sister to Group winners Keos, Proskona and Korveya (dam of Bosra Sham). Nice starting point for one with his pedigree and can probably show up well.

Runner-up in maidens over this trip at Wolverhampton and Thirsk in the spring, including on soft, he weakened out of it when dropped back to 1m2f on fast ground at Windsor last time. Both trip and ground look positive for him in this and he sets the standard.

Is not finding that first win easy to come by, but has run with credit on his last two starts in particular, both in handicaps. Stays 1m6f and acts on soft ground, but now back in maiden company he still has a bit to find to break his duck.

Made a reasonable start at Newbury (1m, good to soft) in October and has not been seen out since, having been gelded in the interim. Probably capable of making a fair bit of improvement and you couldn't rule that out today. Interesting.

Forecasts

Waterville Dancer (6/4), Steaming (9/4), Wine List (11/4), American History (7/2), Zeelander (8/1), Catcher On The Go (12/1), In Dreams (14/1), Freedom Fighter (16/1), Jumbo's Boy (16/1), Cable Car (25/1), Flooded (66/1), The Last Melon (100/1)

Verdict

Catcher On The Go is interesting after his recent hurdles success, though preference is for STEAMING, who has produced the best form of any of these and can underline that with a win. Waterville Dancer should be thereabouts and both Wine List and Zeelander are probable improvers. Keep an eye on the market regarding both that pair and the newcomer In Dreams.
