Well bred January colt is having his first look at a racecourse in public this afternoon. Best watched in the market as he makes his debut and any significant support should be noted.

April colt by the great Sea The Stars, cost 60,000 gns as a yearling. 2018 Derby entry made his debut in a race over 7f on this course at the end of June and after sitting in mid-division, he dropped away to finish last of the 13 runners. Sure to improve.

April colt steps out for his juvenile debut this evening. Trainer has been in fairly good form recently and any support in the market here could be well worth noting.

Shaped like a surefire future winner when showing a lot of promise on his debut over 7f at Haydock in June, finishing a close third behind James Tate's Leeshaan. Dropped away after making the running in a similar event last time but has solid claims here.

Well bred colt was never a threat on his debut, trailing home last of 10 following a slow start. Sent to Windsor last time, both races over 6f, he again ran green but was getting the hang of things in the latter stages. Will be suited by the step up in trip.

Holds an entry for the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes (Group 1) (Entire Colts & Fillies) at the Curragh in September. Stable has been in good form of late and this colt could be popular in the market.

April colt and his stable has had a couple of winners recently. Another having his first outing in public tonight and the market will provide the best guide in respect of his chances.

He has run in two 5f contests at Windsor so far, failing to beat an opponent home and starting at triple-digit odds on both occasions. Hard to make out a valid case for him tonight.

Represents powerful connections and is a half-brother to several winners on the Flat. Was quietly fancied when making his debut over 6f at Windsor towards the end of last month but was never a threat and needed the experience. Plenty of scope to improve.

Filly was slow to start when making her debut over 7f on the AW at Kempton at the end of June but once the penny had dropped she stayed on strongly and was beaten only a head at the finish. Will come on from that and is one for any short-list.
March filly having her first outing on a racecourse this evening. She is one to keep an eye on in the market and any support in the betting should be noted.

Sent off at odds of 50/1 for her debut run over 6f at Newbury earlier this month and was never a factor in a race won by Paul Cole's Musical Art. Will need to step up on that run to figure in the finish.

Forecasts

Camomile Lawn (15/8), Coastal Drive (7/2), Strategic (5/1), Groveman (13/2), Marble Bar (8/1), Blackheath (10/1), Beringer (16/1), General Zoff (20/1), Raven's Song (33/1), Sixties Secret (33/1), Amenhotepthethird (150/1), Mullion Star (200/1)

Verdict

Coastal Drive has shown enough promise in his two races to date to suggest a race of this nature is well within his capabilities. General Zoff has had a couple of runs to date over 6f and last time he was getting the hang of things in the latter stages and has plenty of scope to improve. We are expecting a big run while Groveman, who has a Group 1 entry in Ireland could be the pick of the newcomers. The selection, however, is CAMOMILE LAWN. Slowly away on her debut over 7f, she was staying on well in the closing stages and was just unable to reach the winner. Compensation awaits here if she can show similar form.
  1. Camomile Lawn
  2. General Zoff
  3. Groveman
