Won a Group 3 back in 2012 but only won twice since that year (both wins at Goodwood). Returned in good form this year but heavily reliant on a strong pace to aim at. Tends to struggle off a mark this high and probably needs to be dropped a couple of pound to be seen back in the winner's enclosure.
Winner of a Goodwood handicap two starts back, staying on gamely to win but proved a disappointing favourite back at that track last time up 4lb in the handicap. Not the most consistent sort and opposable from a further 2lb higher in the handicap.
Very much a hit-and-miss sort but stayed on well to win at Chester two starts back and travels very well in his races. Good chance this course could be right up his street and provided he gets a decent pace to aim at he could run a big race. Well-handicapped on old form and the one to beat.
Back off the mark for the first time since his debut at Redcar last time, improving for the switch to front-running tactics and every chance there will be more to come now he's hit some form for this yard.
On a 21-race losing run and not won since his debut. Respectable runner-up effort in soft ground and Chepstow last time and 1lb rise for that not unfair but he probably needs some rain if he's to be seen to best effect.
Off the mark for this yard at Goodwood last time and while he's clearly not the most consistent type, he gives the impression he's well-handicapped when everything falls right for him. Only up 2lb for his latest success and claims if he turns up in the right mood.
More consistent on the AW than he is on turf and that's been born out both his efforts this turf season having won his final AW start at Chelmsford in May. Never won off a mark this high and seemingly up against it.
Won a pair of claimers this spring but struggled back in a handicap last time and this mark looks well beyond him. Needs others to under-perform if he is to figure.
Been very busy this year already (already had 19 runs) and whilst he still does have three wins on the board his mark has got a little high now and the handicapper looks to have him under control. Still looks in form and nicely drawn to go forward so could go well with very little pace in the contest.

Forecasts
Noble Peace (11/4), Qeyaadah (7/2), Fox Trotter (5/1), Pastoral Player (8/1), Russian Soul (8/1), In The Red (8/1), Saleh (8/1), Tavener (10/1), Sans Souci Bay (14/1), Plucky Dip (25/1)
RUSSIAN SOUL could be the one to beat here and the way he travels in his races will hold him in good stead in this contest. Tavener could get an easy lead and shouldn't be ruled out while Qeyaadah won last time out and could be well-handicapped if he builds on that run.
- Russian Soul
- Tavener
- Qeyaadah
