Has been running with credit of late without looking like winning and although the handicapper is starting to relent the losing run continue to mount up and he only looks to have place chances here.

Recent modest effort came over fences (jumped poorly) and these modest staying hurdles are more her sort of event. Shaped in reasonable form last time out although this trip might be a little short around this sharp track for one who needs a good test of stamina although she has won here over shorter under a positive ride.

C&D winner last summer (travelled well) and back off the same mark here after a good run at Uttoxeter recently where she finished in the runner-up slot. Could well build on that run here and looks one of the more likely players in this.

Been around a few trainers (current one will be his fourth) for a horse with so few miles on the clock. Now with a local trainer with a good record here and can be excused his run after a break last time after he was badly hampered three out and yet to be asked for any effort.

From a yard that have been doing better of late this one showed better form last time out over an increased trip at Kelso. Stuck to his task well there but does only have one win to his name and may have a little work to do off this mark.

Usually relatively effective around this course (placed four times) and produced some good form for the grade on his last two starts. Mixes hurdles with chasing and his Sedgefield hurdles win on his penultimate start off a mark of 87 would put him in with a chance here although marks this high have proved beyond him in the past.

Reverts to hurdles off his last (and only) winning mark that he was successful off over C&D last year. Recent form over fences has been very moderate but he may well be able to show more returned to hurdles around a course that suits.

Her form in maiden/novice hurdles was only modest at best and her handicap debut last time showed little more. Steps up in trip here off a slightly lower mark but still looks harshly treated.

A serial loser over hurdles with his record now standing at 0/26 and although he's flirted with breaking his duck a few times it would be hard to support him with confidence here.

From a yard that certainly know the time of day with this sort he's started to show some encouragement of late over hurdles with the mark tumbling to a basement level. Well backed last time and under more positive tactics he showed that he was well up to winning an event like this off his current mark.

Took advantage of a drop in the weights to win a Hexham last year over 2m4f but she's shown nothing like the same form since and continues to struggle.

Likely to be one of the pace setters but was well beaten in a seller last time out and even in this lowly grade can't be fancied to win this.

Better known as a relatively poor maiden handicap chaser his last two runs have both resulted in non-completions and he reverts to hurdles here with little to recommend him.

Verdict

Not the most appealing betting heat on the card but there are a few that can be expected to run their races within this grade. Both Squeeze Me and Nicki’s Nipper will have claims in this with the former surely one of the better travellers in the race. Sendiym always has to be respected in this grade although he has found this mark tough before and What A Game can’t be left out of the equation back at the scene of his last and only win. Mr Selby is one of the more interesting ones at a price but all in all this looks a decent opportunity for OH SO GIGOLO to open his account after he ran so well last time out at Sedgefield.
  1. Oh So Gigolo
  2. Squeeze Me
  3. Mr Selby
