Won two handicaps over a mile in October, but has shown little in two starts since joining her current yard. Has been dropped 5lb since her last run, however.

Miss Ranger23
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-11| J: B A Curtis| T: B Ellison| OR:  67
14/1
Successful over almost 2f further for her current stable at Doncaster last June, she was also placed five times in 2016. The handicapper has not been too harsh, however, and a return to her best form would place her in the mix.

Showed a good attitude to win over a furlong shorter at Brighton last month and a 4lb rise is fair. Is yet to win over this sort of trip, however, and that reduces confidence.

Has not won since August, last year, but is 4lb lower now and has a good chance in that respect. The down side is a complete lack of recent form.

Singing Sandst32
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: F Sweeney| T: S Durack| OR:  72

Proved expensive to follow last season and appeared vulnerable in a finish. Fourth of 13 on her first run for her new yard at Windsor last month, she did not get the run of the race and promises to be in the shake-up off the same mark.

Braztime16
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: S M Levey| T: R Hannon| OR:  72

Placed once in three starts as a juvenile, she steps up in trip for her second run at three and has plenty to prove in a handicap in which others appear better treated.

Pobblesp107
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-1| J: L Morris| T: George Scott| OR:  70
10/1
Placed once in seven AW starts for Roger Charlton, she makes her debut for her new yard. The switch to turf needs to produce a positive effect.

Nancy Hart13
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Jason Hart| T: Tom Dascombe| OR:  69
10/1
Got involved in a bit of a barging match with the third when favourite and fourth in a Haydock maiden last time. She rates better than the bare form of that run, is unexposed after only three outings and is feasibly handicapped. Major chance.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: Fran Berry| T: J Tuite| OR:  68

Favourite when making a winning reappearance at Newcastle in February, she has been beaten in two AW handicaps since. Not out of it, but does not look especially well handicapped.

Al Nafoorah10
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: A Fresu| T: E A L Dunlop| OR:  67

Second at Haydock on the middle of three starts as a juvenile, she returned with a pleasing second at Wolverhampton 10 days ago. Has gone up 3lb, but that may be negated by superior fitness on this occasion.

Pyjamarama16
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: J Mitchell| T: R Varian| OR:  66

Some promise in three outings as a juvenile, she was well held in a LIngfield handicap on her reappearance. She is 2lb lower here and may have a say for her respected trainer.

Do You Know107
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: M Botti| OR:  65
7/1
Has shown ability in all four of her starts, most recently when fourth of eight at Lingfield. Tries her luck on turf for the first time and is not without hope off bottom weight.

Forecasts

Al Nafoorah (9/2), Braztime (13/2), Do You Know (7/1), Pyjamarama (8/1), Singing Sands (10/1), Pobbles (10/1), Nancy Hart (10/1), Tulip Dress (11/1), Elusive Olivia (12/1), Miss Ranger (14/1), Hijran (16/1), Beatbybeatbybeat (16/1)

Verdict

Several of these may rate a little higher in time, but the stand-out one is NANCY HART, who was unlucky in what looked to be a decent Haydock maiden last time and could have got in lightly. Al Nafoorah is not so appealing given her weight rise, but at least she seems progressive and can chase home the selection, with Singing Sands best of the rest.
  1. Nancy Hart
  2. Al Nafoorah
  3. Singing Sands
