Placed seven times from 11 starts but remains a maiden. That barren run almost ended over this trip at Kempton last time, but a 3lb rise is not going to help in his quest for success and as a beaten favourite on all his last three starts he merits caution.
Well beaten in all four runs last year and since gelded. Dan was a winner over 1m2f-1m4f and with yard not red not at present he is perhaps best watched on this reappearance run.
Showed reasonable form in all three starts in maiden and auction maiden company last year. Should be able to show more now going handicapping from a fair mark and stepped back up in trip for his reappearance. Interesting.
Sent off at fancy prices on all three starts in maidens and well beaten each time. Full-brother a 6f/7f winner with both speed and stamina elsewhere on his page. Possibilities now handicapping and market will be a good guide to confidence.
Both tries in handicaps have been over 1m, but this drop in trip should not be a problem and he is on the same mark as when not beaten far at Kempton last time, giving him a decent shout here if headgear proves positive.
Moderate form in all three maidens, including latest one since joining this trainer. Half-brother to a pair of winners from 6f-1m and out of a sprint-winning mare. Should do better now handicapping and a market check would be prudent.
Has got closer to the action since going handicapping on his last two starts, including over this trip at Wolverhampton last time. Handicapper has dropped him 2lb since then, so should be capable of being competitive if making some improvement on his first try on turf.
Not far away from winning his third maiden start last year (6f) and subsequently gelded. Step back up in trip looks positive and stable among the winners of late, so check out the market to gauge expectations on this handicap debut.
Has dropped 7lb for two handicap defeats so far and raced as if 1m was a little to far last time. Back over 7f, from 3lb lower and with first-time headgear on he is interesting.
Wasn't able to get competitive in three maiden runs last season. Since changed yards and been gelded. Dam won over this trip and pedigree suggests that 7f-1m will be his optimum, so with yard saddling a recent winner, he is another from whom supporting would be interesting on his handicap debut.
Has plummeted 13lb in three starts since she went handicapping and was beaten 38L over 1m2f at Nottingham last time. If she has any ability then she should begin to be able to show that from this sort of mark, but clearly has it to prove.
Both wins have been on the All Weather at Lingfield over this trip and her two placed efforts from seven turf runs were also at that venue (good to firm). Ran reasonably well over C&D last year but was well held from this mark last time.
Best effort yet was over this trip in her final maiden run before she was thrashed on her handicap debut over 6f at Wolverhampton last time. Dropped just 3lb for that, she is going to need improvement to figure.
Steps up in trip here after being campaigned over both 5f and 6f so far. 0-10, coming closest to winning in a seller here (6f, good) last month. Was raised 5lb for that and fell when clipping heels at Redcar last time, so still has plenty to prove.
Very modest form in all three auction maiden runs over 7f-1m on the All Weather. Turf and handicap debut here over a trip that her half-sister and dam both won at. Jamie Spencer is a very interesting booking and this filly should be noted in the market.
Dropped 6lb in total after two hefty defeats in All Weather handicaps last month. Should begin to get more competitive, but perhaps best watched until we have evidence of that on the track.
Tried over 1m at Lingfield last time and ran well, though the return to this shorter trip looks positive. 2lb drop and top pilot booking also pluses and it would be no surprise to see her go very close.

Coverham (3/1), Luxford (7/1), Tigerfish (11/1), Banta Bay (12/1), Lesanti (12/1), Rakematiz (12/1), Champagne Queen (12/1), Pursuing Steed (14/1), Delagate This Lord (14/1), Equal Rights (14/1), Dravid (14/1), Unzipped (25/1), Shakabula (25/1), Circuit (25/1), African Girl (33/1), Mahna Mahna (40/1), Jackman (50/1), Newton Heath (66/1)
A poor contest and with many of them making handicap debuts the market should prove informative. Rakematiz is one of those to keep an eye on, as is Pursuing Steed. Lesanti, Circuit and Luxford are others of that ilk, but the suggestion is to take a chance on DRAVID, who has had two sighters in handicaps, sliding 7lb in the weights. Now dropped in trip and with headgear on he might be the one for today.
- Dravid
- Pursuing Steed
- Luxford
