Failed to win seven starts for Dermot Weld and it's now five without a win for current yard, though not beaten far off a slightly higher mark on occasions last autumn over 6f. May just need this and yet to convince over 1m.
No impact in maidens but swooped late to win over 1m at Wolverhampton last month and was just denied there next time off a 5lb higher mark. Raised a further 4lb now but clearly improving and should be a player.
Still a maiden after 12 starts but has rarely disgraced herself along the way. Decent effort to finish third over 7f on fibresand last time out and has been dropped a further 2lb. Struggled on her only previous attempt at 1m.
Still winless after 16 starts but has begun to look like he's capable of winning a race. Beaten just over 2l in a first-time visor at Chelmsford over 7f last time out, keeping on, but the headgear is dispensed with here.
Still a maiden after eight attempts but came close when touched off by Henry Grace over 1m at Kempton on his penultimate start. Didn't have the run of the race from a wide draw here latest and shouldn't be written off.
Never competitive in maidens but shaped encouragingly when fourth on her handicap debut over 1m at Chelmsford in the autumn, despite taking a keen hold. This could be a workable mark if fully tuned up after an absence.
Old stager who did well to win three times last year off similar marks to this. Equally at home on turf or the AW, he had no luck in running on his recent reappearance over C&D but suggested he retains ability. Respected.
Unfancied and soundly beaten in maidens over 7f and, most recently, 6f. Pedigree suggests this extra furlong will be in her favour for her handicap debut, so a positive market move would be interesting, though yard is quiet right now.
Done most of his racing at Kempton, where he has won three times, including off a 3lb higher mark than this 13 months ago. A close third there (1m) last month but took a step backwards latest and has no margin for error.
Began life in bumpers and scored her only success from 15 Flat starts over 1m2f here 17 months ago. Has never looked like winning in three previous attempts over a trip this short and no obvious reason to expect better now.

Forecasts
Lord Murphy (5/4), Mulled Wine (6/1), Caledonian Gold (7/1), Whispered Kiss (8/1), Home Again (8/1), Gavarnie Encore (10/1), Blackthorn Stick (12/1), Caribbean Spring (14/1), Fairy Mist (16/1), Coup De Vent (25/1), General Brook (25/1), Tilly's Bridge (33/1)
Lord Murphy is arguably the most progressive horse in this line-up and it would be no surprise to see him atone for an agonising defeat at Wolverhampton last time, albeit off a 4lb lower mark. But, if there is any value here, it may lie with MULLED WINE who was never able to land a blow from the worst of the draw here last time out but who had suggested a win was near with his effort at Kempton the time before. Old stager Fairly Mist also looks feasibly-treated on the evidence of his reappearance whilst Whispered Kiss is also interesting.
- Mulled Wine
- Lord Murphy
- Fairy Mist
