£5,000 yearling out of a maiden half-sister to a German Listed 7½f 2yo Listed winner. Grandam a Group-placed winning full-sister to St Leger and Racing Post Trophy winner Brian Boru. Yard not noted for debut winners, but market check advised nonetheless.
Half-sister to five winners from 5f-1m1f and out of a 5f-6f winner (including Listed). Sent off t 100/1 on her debut in July 2015 but comfortably outperformed that SP. However, not seen since and a watching brief advised today unless market speaks for her.
200,000 GNS yearling. Beaten favourite in both maiden starts in the autumn, though by just ¾L on the second of those at Chelmsford (7f). Tries again here with stable in cracking form and a pedigree that suggests that he will do better at this age. Leading player.
Ran to a similar level of form in both starts at two, beaten just a neck on debut over C&D and 1L at Chelmsford when last seen in November. Any improvement on that would entitle him to be a strong contender again this time.
Green enough on debut and then raced keenly last time when not really improving on that initial effort. Can continue education here but looks likely to do better when going handicapping.
Gelded prior to this debut. Closely related to 7f AW winner Tawteen out of a Listed-placed 2yo winning half-sister to a UAE 10f Listed winner and US 1m-1m1f dirt Stakes winner and from the family of 1,000 Guineas winner Shadayid. Represents top yard in good form and very interesting.
£24,000 yearling who then changed hands for just £800 in January. Closely related to an AW winner over extended 1m-1m1f. Dam fourth over 1m4f and closely related to Ribblesdale winner Thakafaat and half-sister to Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Power. Yard not associated with debut winners and perhaps best watched.
Finished lame on debut when beaten 10½L at Chelmsford last month, having been sent off at 3/1. Cheek pieces added today. Drawn out wide, though related to plenty of success at this trip, including Listed and Group Three and can go well.
Half-sister to an AW winner at around 1m and an Italian winner at 6f-7f. Grandam is Mill Reef and Coronation Stakes winner Magic Of Life. Makes debut here and market check advised to gauge expectations.
70,000 GNS yearling. Never involved on debut at Newmarket in July and not seen since. May well do better with a winter under her belt and pedigree suggests that she is not one to be writing off too early.
Placing improved from first start to second, though not sure that her performance at Chelmsford last month was any better than on debut at Kempton in November. Drops back in trip here and pedigree suggests that she is more likely to want further. Needs to improve to win.

Forecasts
Ejaaby (11/10), El Cap (13/8), Zillion (8/1), Excellent Sunset (12/1), Royal Peace (16/1), Falbon (20/1), Katheefa (25/1), Gunmaker (50/1), Under The Covers (200/1), Careyanne (200/1), Tawfeer (200/1), Socks And Shares (200/1)
Katheefa is a very interesting newcomer saddled by the in-form Charlie Hills yard, while Zillion should be capable of going close if he can finish sound today. El Cap is another for the short-list, though preference is for EJAABY, who has experience on his side and is likely to begin improving from hereon in.
- Ejaaby
- Zillion
- Katheefa
