Has struck up a good partnership with today's rider. Still looks less than straightforward but is better treated than most in this.

Mighty Zipp12
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-5| J: Jordan Uys(7)| T: L Williamson| OR:  58

Winner of four races here including two over this trip. A 4lb higher mark should be within his scope having overcome a poor draw last time.

Has gone 18 races since her last win and remains vulnerable off today's mark. A wide draw does not make her task any easier.

Two years between drinks for previous owners but new connections seek a quick return with this C&D winner. Had something in hand when scoring at Southwell last time. It is always hard to reproduce winning form when switching from there to faster surfaces next time.

Winner of two turf races for Michael Appleby in better company, the latest off an 8lb higher mark last May. All four AW runs have been at Southwell and he has been poor in all of them. More expected here with stable in good form but hard to recommend based on recent evidence.

Ended a long losing run when coming from off the pace to score at Wolverhampton last time. Has more to do on a less forgiving track off a 5lb higher mark.

Unable to catch Mighty Zip here last time and closely matched with that rival on these terms. Has struggled off this mark previously and seems better suited to further.

Finished just in front of Frank The Barber at Lingfield before scoring at Southwell last time. A new mark for that win makes it harder for him to confirm placings with the topweight now.

Best AW form has come at Southwell. Was not beaten too far at Newcastle last time but probably needs his AW mark to reach parity with his turf rating before enjoying further success.

21-race maiden with something to find with Mighty Zip and Tasabooq on his latest showing. Hard to see him possessing the scope to find that improvement now.

Showed first sign of form in almost two years when unable to respond to late charge from Quality Art. More to do here in higher grade and remains to be seen if cheekpieces have similar positive effect.

Has reached the frame once in 19 races. That effort was over C&D but he remains hard to recommend.

Forecasts

Frank The Barber (11/4), Loumarin (6/1), Mighty Zip (7/1), Quality Art (7/1), Tasaaboq (8/1), Fuel Injection (8/1), Roy's Legacy (12/1), Camino (12/1), Autumn Tonic (12/1), Secret Clause (14/1), Hurricane Alert (20/1), Barnsdale (50/1)

Verdict

FRANK THE BARBER has been going well lately for today's rider. Although yet to win from today's mark he has run some good races in defeat. A lot of his rivals are shifting up the handicap too and at a faster rate. They include recent winners Mighty Zip, Autumn Tonic and Quality Art. Roy's Legacy won last time and will need to improve further off his new mark to confirm previous form with the selection. Fuel Injection and Secret Clause may prove better than recent form indicates, whilst Loumarin looks in need of some help from the handicapper.
  1. Frank The Barber
  2. Mighty Zip
  3. Quality Art
