Had just the one run on the AW and a complete newcomer to this surface. Last successful on turf at Haydock in September for his former yard and now tackles the Fibresand after disappointing on turf at Doncaster in November.
Well backed for a race here recently when eventually a non-runner but had won the time that over 5f beating two of his rivals here. Both runs here have come over 5f but has won on turf over 6f and is equally at home over it. Looks as though he can cope with a 5lb rise from his last win and remains a leading contender for this prize.
A dual winner on the Fibresand but is 0/2 over 6f here with the wins coming over 5f and a mile. Below form last time out over 5f here and would need to show more to take a hand.
Has had just the three runs on the AW (0/3) but makes his first visit here. Had looked out of sorts prior to his last run but showed a little more on just his second run for his current yard at Newcastle over 6f. It remains to be seen if he can handle this surface and may well be better back over 7f.
Won his maiden here over 5f and has only run once here since. The first time blinkers seemed to have a positive effect on his penultimate start when running an eye-catching race at Newcastle over 5f. Not quite so good back over 6f last time out and there is a suspicion that 5f suits him best.
Was a good winner here over 7f on his penultimate start in a lower grade wining off a 3lb lower mark. Failed to back that run last time out over a mile and now faces a tougher test back in trip by two furlongs.
Runs well on this surface and is 2/2 over C&D with an additional two wins in the Fibresand to take his course record to four victories from six starts. Travelled well over 7f last time out at Chelmsford but failed to stay and looks to have a better chance back over this trip.
Has taken well to this surface and run his last six races here recording form figures of 133312 and has won over both 6f and 7f. Beaten by Among Angels last time out off a 1lb lower mark and faces a tougher grade of race now.
1/1 over C&D although that win did come nearly two years ago and he's been fairly lightly raced on the AW overall. Has won off a slightly higher mark in the past but does come back from a break here and may well be conceding race fitness to some useful types on this surface.
Becoming more and more of an enigma but despite being well treated in handicapping terms his slow starts often make life difficult for him. Never won over 6f in ten attempts and faces a tough task here stepping up in trip in this grade.

Without doubt the best race on the card with ESCALATING setting a good standard on a surface that he looks to enjoy and the 6f trip may actually suit him. Both September Issue and Bahamian Dollar would be more at home over different distances and Bring On A Spinner shapes up as the main danger to Escalating given his good record on this surface. The enigmatic Crosse Fire and the up in grade Vroom command respect in a race that could take a bit of winning.
