Being kept busy (this will be his sixth run in January) and has form at Southwell that makes him look very well treated, but that's been the case for a while now and he's been unable to take advantage. Arguably better at five furlongs as well.
Promising effort after a five month break at Wolverhampton on latest start, fading out of it late over a trip too far for him. Drop back to six furlongs here will suit, drawn to attack out wide, and seemed to handle surface on only start here.
Can throw in the odd bad run, but generally consistent and gained a deserved win at Chelmsford on his latest start, getting on top late in the day. Has form on Fibresand and every chance of being involved again.
Mark falling very quickly after some moderate efforts and now 6lb lower than last winning mark. Has shown glimmers that he may be on the way back recently and step up to six furlongs may suit. Needs a market check, as money for him could be significant.
Has refound his form for his new yard this winter with wins over C&D on his last two starts, and may get this run to suit. However, is stepping up in class here and may well need to improve again.
Mark falling through the floor as a result of some very poor efforts lately, beating only four horses home in his last four starts. Shows no sign of taking advantage of that mark, and can't be entertained until showing some form again.
Makes a quick reappearance after victory at Lingfield on Saturday, winning with some authority. This is harder, and the penalty means he needs to pull out more, but has plenty of form at Southwell and is clearly in good heart.
Improving and in good form at present, following up Newcastle win at this trip with a narrow defeat over C&D last time. May well have more improvement to come, and with this likely to be run to suit, cannot be discounted from a good draw (wide is best over six furlongs here),
She looks all speed and seems to barely stay five furlongs, so this step up to six wouldn't appear to be in her favour (one effort at the trip, a last of five at Nottingham last year). Needs to find much more here.
No win on the card since May 2015, although has gone close on occasions and turned in one of his better efforts at Kempton last November, finishing a close second. Has no form on Fibresand, however, and looks an unlikely winner.
Forecasts
Fujin (4/1), Hold On Magnolia (9/2), It Must Be Faith (9/2), Big Amigo (5/1), Crosse Fire (13/2), Colourbearer (12/1), Borough Boy (16/1), Elusivity (20/1), Misu Moneypenny (20/1), Freddy With A Y (33/1)
A few of these come into this in good form, and all have their positives. The vote goes to It Must Be Faith, who hasn't won for a while but acts on Fibresand and his recent effort over Wolverhampton's extended mile, a trip too far for him, suggests this drop back in trip might see him in a better light. Drawn well out wide and the Michael Appleby yard are the kings here in winter. Fujin may run well again, although the penalty might be enough to stop him winning, and the rejuvenated Big Amigo can stay on into the places.
1. It Must Be Faith
2. Fujin
3. Big Amigo
