Smart handicapper who has won three times on the AW twice over C&D with the latest win coming in December. Made all and went with enthusiasm on that occasion and won readily but the 5lb rise forces him back into a better grade here.
Makes his handicap debut here after running the last twice Group 3 company in France. Starts out for a new yard here and an interesting contender on his GB debut over a trip that should suit.
Recorded his first turf win in the summer at Newmarket over 1m4f off a pound higher mark. Capable on the AW and has won over this C&D off a much lower mark and turned in a good effort on his last Flat run over a trip that was too short at Wolverhampton.
Very consistent sort on the AW (dual winner) and only finished out of the first three on one occasion. Since winning at Windsor (1m2f) in July his form figures read 1222212 and he was only just touched off last time out at Wolverhampton. Yet to run at Lingfield but should once again go well although his mark has been nudged up again here to a career high 98.
Last three runs have come over hurdles but is a capable Flat performer on the turf. Yet to win on the AW from six attempts and this looks a fairly stiff task for him.
Tough handicapper who has won in this grade before although his last run and win came in lesser company than this. May not be the force of old and will find this a lot tougher than when taking a 0-85 handicap over 1m4f at Kempton Park last time out.
Just having the fifth run of his life here having won on his debut at Chelmsford on a maiden over 1m2f. Looked to find things a little tough when well beaten at Wolverhampton last time out over 1m5f and more needed again here.

Pinzolo (5/2), Erhaaf (11/4), Rock Steady (3/1), Sennockian Star (7/1), John Reel (15/2), Rydan (10/1), Blue Surf (16/1), Cohesion (33/1)
The best race on the card and the two at the head of the market while deserving to be there have to both make a little improvement and it’s a tough choice between two with ROCK STEADY being given the nod over Pinzolo. Sennockian Star is not getting any younger and he probably appreciated the ease in grade last time out and remains to be seen if he can still make his presence felt in this class. Erhaaf and John Reel both deserve respect and the latter will particular appreciate this return to a longer trip after showing up well in his last AW run over shorter.
