Yet to fire this season despite dropping below his winning marks. Cheekpieces removed and now dropped in grade and trip but hard to be confident about in current heart.
Showed a lot more when fourth of 14 dropped to this level in a handicap on return from 5 months off at Kempton 15 days ago, keeping on. Perhaps ideally needs 1m but could go well if stepping up on that effort.
Back to form when third of 12 in a handicap here over 6f 24 days ago when wearing first-time tongue strap. Step back up to 7f isn't sure to see him build on that effort and also up against some younger rivals here.
Stepped up on reappearance in August when good third of 9 over C&D 21 days ago, keeping on well. First-time cheekpieces might see him get rolling a bit earlier here and he's one to be very interested in with Billy Loughnane taking over.
Won over 6f in August but hasn't progressed in handicaps since, though softer ground may well have been an issue when sent off short odds at Salisbury 13 days ago. Not one to write off now switched to all-weather and back up to 7f.
Broke duck at Kempton on all-weather in June and ran a cracker when second at Newmarket in August. Showed speed when respectable fourth at Newbury on latest outing and holds claims back down in grade and returned to all-weather.
C&D winner but produced just respectable efforts since returning from 5 months off in August. Well treated if the return to this track sparks a revival but his stable isn't firing at present.
Finally broke duck when winning weak maiden at Brighton (4/11F, 4 runners) 23 days ago. More required returned to handicap company and he's also yet to prove effectiveness on all-weather.
Largely consistent on all-weather earlier this year, eventually scoring at Wolverhampton in April. Now returns from 139 days off in better company so needs to be at the top of his game.

Forecasts
Lieutenant Kije (5/2), Bold Shout (3/1), Tasdeed (11/2), Herculeus (6/1), Hectic (9/1), Show Me Gold (10/1), Shaw Park (11/1), Norfolk Blue (20/1), Bad Habits (50/1)
LIEUTENANT KIJE has improved this year and stepped up again when a close third over C&D 21 days ago, beaten just a head despite dwelling at the start and first-time cheekpieces can help him open his account. Tasdeed showed much improved form when fourth at Kempton in first-time tongue strap after 5 months off and is feared most, whilst Bold Shout is unexposed and not one to write off.
