Boasts excellent Chester record with 3 course wins and finished good second of 7 here in July. Last of 19 at York 23 days ago but was poorly drawn that day. Hasn't done much better on that score here but he doesn't have to lead so the return to this venue could see him prove a threat.

Won over 5f at Chepstow in May and not seen to best effect since, including when fifth of 8 at Sandown 13 days ago, shaping better than the result after 12 weeks off with headgear removed. May strip fitter for that outing and holds place claims.
