Cotai Glory colt out of unraced half-sister to high-class stayer Trawlerman. Still rough around the edges when third of 11 in maiden at Sligo (6f, good to soft, 5/1) 15 days ago but that form would give him place claims again.

Banks Of The Boyne⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 8-13| J: Wesley Joyce⁽³⁾| T: M Mulvany| OR: 79| BF

9/4

Much improved when ½-length second on qualifying run at Fairyhouse (6f, 100/1). Backed up that performance when occupying same spot in a Galway nursery (7f) next time and seemed caught out by the drop in trip when fourth of 8 at the Curragh (6f, good) 4 days ago. Sets the standard back up in trip.

Offered something to work on at huge odds when 6 lengths fifth of 10 on debut at Roscommon in early May but some way below that form when tenth of 15 in maiden at Galway (7f, soft) 20 days ago. Frame claims if able to bounce back.

Form: 50

(8)

Forecasts

Banks Of The Boyne (9/4), The Green Helmet (3/1), Essence Of Time (7/2), Sovreigns Joy (9/2), Togetherwearefree (7/1), Kilconnell (14/1), Blitogue (14/1), Lucy's Promise (16/1), Spanish View (20/1), Romance (25/1), Melchizedek (25/1), Buck Jones (33/1), Summer Sent You (50/1), Letmeentertainyou (66/1), Battle Ready (100/1), Dear Theodosia (250/1)

BANKS OF THE BOYNE ran well enough despite not looking to benefit from the return to 6f at the Curragh over the weekend and his previous form at Galway and Fairyhouse would make him the one to beat granted he copes with the quick turnaround. Joseph O'Brien's newcomer Togetherwearefree merits respect on debut, with The Green Helmet also on the shortlist.
