Well beaten in novice/maiden last month. Makes no appeal this side of nurseries.
Showcasing colt who shaped encouragingly when second of 7 in novice at Lingfield (5f, good to firm) on debut 12 days ago, fastest of all through the last 2f but unable to peg back a more experienced rival that got first run. Will improve and looks up to going one better.
Tailed off in seller/maiden last month, showing more temperament than ability on latest. First-time tongue tie applied.
Havana Grey colt who shaped as if he'd be fitter for the run when sixth of 9 in maiden at Ascot (6f, good to firm) on debut 12 days ago. Should improve with that initial outing under his belt and the booking of Murphy catches the eye.
Has gone the wrong way following a debut which offered some encouragement, last of 9 in novice at Windsor (6f, good to firm) most recently. Makes limited appeal kept to maiden company (gelded since last seen).
Has been sent off a short price on both starts and improved a little rather than a lot when fifth of 12 in novice at Nottingham (6f, good to soft) a couple of months ago. Drops down to the minimum trip and has been gelded, which could see an improved performance.
Foaled March 7. 82,000 gns yearling, Mehmas gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful winner up to 8.5f Diamond Vega and 5f/6f winner Merrimack. Yard 1-22 with 2-y-o debutants this season at time of writing.
Promising first effort when keeping-on 1¾ lengths second (well backed) in a valuable novice at York (6f), only beaten by one with experience. Seemed stretched by the step up to 7f having also been drawn widest at Goodwood last week so remains with potential dropped to the minimum trip.
St Mark's Basilica filly who has shown precious little in a couple of 6f maidens so far. Dropped to the minimum trip but seems set for another struggle.
Forecasts
Catching Dreams (4/6), Crazee In Havana (4/1), Elevating (9/2), Menhaal (11/2), Pulse Of Fire (14/1), Champagne Charlee (125/1), Beach Noir (200/1), Kigali (250/1), Vesper Honey (300/1)
Preference is for CATCHING DREAMS, who finished with a flourish but was unable to peg back a more experienced rival that got first run at Lingfield just under 2 weeks ago. With improvement on the cards, Charlie Appleby's colt can get the better of Elevating who seemed stretched by 7f last week and drops to the minimum trip for the first time. Menhaal and Pulse of Fire can fight out minor honours.
