C&D winner who is now 2 lb lower than when successful in this grade at Newcastle (12.5f) in March. More miss than hit in better company since. Should be able to lead this time and potentially dangerous if on a going day.

Won a thin heavy-ground novice at Ayr (1m) last October. Again struggled to land a blow in a handicap when distant fourth at Redcar (1¼m) last time. Since gelded and at least some hope for a more competitive showing off 2 lb lower.

First past the post (demoted to second after causing interference) in handicap at Goodwood (1½m) last month. Only narrowly denied by a thriving sort at Newbury (13f) since. This looks a good opportunity to make amends.

Cheekpieces on when beaten less than 3½ lengths in a similar event at Doncaster last time. That was his best effort to date but needs to build on that with good-value apprentice taking over.
