Consistent last year and returned to his very best to score in some style on the Rowley Mile in May. Struggled back up in grade in a big-field Epsom handicap (8.5f) 2 weeks ago but return to this slightly lesser level a plus but he's yet to defy a mark this high.

Proved a different proposition allowed to bowl along at this shorter trip when scoring on the Rowley Mile course in May. However, hit with a 9 lb rise on the back of that and he weakened quickly when tenth at Newbury (1m) 5 weeks ago. Others more persuasive.

Put best foot forward to resume winning ways at Lingfield (1m) in April and ran creditably on 2 of his 3 starts on turf since whilst essentially looking in the grip of the handicapper.

Two 7f wins for Denis Quinn last spring but ended his time with that yard out of sorts and not yet threatened in 2 outings following a breathing operation for present stable this year. Visor now reached for.

Ended a light 2025 campaign with success at Newcastle (7f) in October. Changed hands for 150,000 gns thereafter and shaped as if better for the run after 8 months off (also gelded) when eighth at Doncaster (7f) 2 weeks ago. This can reveal more on first crack at 1m.

Ex-French gelding who ran to a useful level when winning twice at 1m, latterly at Lyon-Parilly 12 months ago. Far from discredited on 3 of his 4 starts thereafter and it'll be interesting to see where he figures in the betting on handicap debut starting out for new yard.

Successful only start at 2 yrs and runner-up on 3 of his 4 starts last season, shaping with abundant promise when second at Newbury (1m, soft) in September. Not disgraced on return and seemed all at sea on the track at Epsom a fortnight ago. Worth another chance given strength of 3-y-o form.

Is on a long losing run but was placed 7 times in 2025. However, he's been operating some way below his best in finishing nearer last than first both outings so far this campaign.

Wootton Bassett colt who was a narrow winner of a pair of 7f Kempton novices last autumn and made a bright return despite lingering inexperience when third on handicap debut on the Rowley Mile course 7 weeks ago. That form has been boosted and he's interesting in first-time cheekpieces.

Ended his time for Joseph O'Brien with a pair of 1m nursery wins in the mud in Ireland last autumn. Mid-field in a couple of handicaps last month and probably needs respite from the assessor.

Ended 2025 with a pair of all-weather handicap wins at up to 1m. Mark rose considerably as a result but shaped as if retaining all his ability when fifth on return on the Rowley Mile in May. Likely he can sharpen up for that.

Improved to win a small-field renewal of a typically strong maiden at Sandown (1m) last summer. Lightly raced since, off 7 months/gelded prior to never threatening on handicap debut at Newbury (1m) 5 weeks ago. This promises to reveal more.

Found further progress when ending 2025 with success at Goodwood (7f) in October and did best of those lacking a recent run when fourth on last month's Newbury reappearance. May do better again given low-mileage profile but 1¼m may suit ideally.

Verdict

Unbeaten in 2 starts as a juvenile, FORT ROCK ran well despite showing signs of lingering greenness when third on return here 7 weeks ago. That form has been well advertised since and he can prove his mark an exploitable one now equipped with first-time cheekpieces. Stem looked all at sea on the track at Epsom 2 weeks ago but his 3-y-o form is an ongoing recommendation and he can bounce back, with Spell Master and Exposure another pair to note.
