Ladies Day Sunday 16th August Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

Shaped a lot better second time up over hurdles when third at Stratford (2¾m) 23 days ago. Can improve again and worth a market check.

Made the frame both starts in maiden hurdles this season, latest when fourth of 10 at Cartmel (2¾m, good) 17 days ago. Ought to give another good account.

Placed once again when second of 8 in steadily-run 2½m Uttoxeter novice hurdle 3 weeks ago, held by winner near finish but pulling clear of the rest. May do better still and looks the one to beat.

Maiden pointer who has been well beaten in 2 maiden hurdles over 2m.

Runner-up in a point bumper and showed plenty again in a Warwick bumper in October. Well beaten and pulled up on subsequent hurdles debut (wore hood) though, and not seen for 7 months (has had a breathing operation).

Useful handicapper on the Flat for Andrew Balding and placed on 3 of his first 4 starts over hurdles before finishing down the field in the Chester Cup consolation last month. Slightly longer trip in his favour back jumping but wouldn't be sure to take to the brush hurdles given his background.

Made frame both starts in point bumpers and showed a bit in Aintree bumper (50/1) last month, found wanting for a change of gear. This longer trip will suit on hurdles debut.

No show in bumpers/2 races over hurdles for Danni O'Neill.

Hasn't seen out her race over hurdles the last twice, although may have needed latest start at Fontwell for new yard after 5 months off and is now back at the scene of her bumper win for Ben Pauling.
