Front runner had a bit up his sleeve when ending a lengthy losing streak in a 7-runner handicap at Brighton (7f, good, 10/3) last week and has to be considered in his follow-up bid.
Thirty one runs since last win in 2022 and was only eleventh of 12 in handicap (33/1) at this C&D (good to firm) 14 days ago.
Creditable efforts when placed at Dundalk in November and December but below par on final 2 outings for A. J. Martin. Worth a market check making debut for new yard after 4 months off.
Placed twice in similar events last season (including at this track). Might've needed the outing on his return from 7 months off when fifth of 7 in handicap at this course (5f, good to firm) 23 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time but others still make more appeal.
Ended losing run at Lingfield in January. Mixed record since but ran respectably enough when fifth of 10 in handicap there (6f) 36 days ago and holds frame claims in a thin race.
Ended time with Christine Dunnett out of sorts and little promise on debut for this yard when last of 11 in handicap at Leicester (7f, firm, 12/1) 11 days ago. Tongue strap on for 1st time.
Four-time C&D winner but it's now 24 runs since last win in 2024 and his last 3 efforts have all been well below par. Has since left Adrain Wintle and rejoined a yard he last represented in 2023.
Won at Lingfield in March and has remained in good form to make the placings on both outings since, most recently over 5f here 3 weeks ago. Should go close again.
Has had a few chances but best effort yet when second of 17 in handicap at Nottingham (5f, good to soft) in April, finishing clear of the remainder. Underlined inconsistency when only seventh of 10 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm) last month. Can make presence felt if on a going day.

Forecasts
Dion Baker (15/8), Wedgewood (9/4), Porfin (13/2), Payforanother Daay (15/2), Magnificent Mel (10/1), Jackie Brown (12/1), Rokuni (25/1), Symbol of Hope (25/1), Coco Hill (33/1)
DION BAKER looks the most solid option as he bids to follow up last week's success in a Brighton handicap. Wedgewood also arrives in good heart and looks the biggest danger, with Magnificent Mel also a likely player if back to the form that saw her finish second at Nottingham in April.
